The Future of CBS All Access

CBS All Access had a bevy of announcements to make at the Television Critic’s Association panel event this past weekend. President & COO of CBS Interactive, Marc DeBevoise, stated that All Access had launch in Canada and will be launching next in Australia. The streaming network has 2.5 million subscribers and is forecasting a 4 million subscriber audience in the next year or so.

A new entity coming to CBS All Access is ET Live, which is an extension of programming based off Entertainment Tonight’s pop culture dominance.

Executive Vice President of Original Content, Julie McNamara, announced their next original “One Dollar” drops on August 30th, “Tell Me A Story” on Halloween, “No Activity” is currently streaming, and Star Trek Discovery season 2 arrives in early 2019, as well as “The Twilight Zone” reboot from Jordan Peele.

The biggest revelation was that Sir Patrick Stewart is returning to the  Star Trek universe as Captain Picard!
