The back story of one of Star Wars’ most beloved character Han Solo is finally being told in Solo: A Star Wars Story. The film features Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Joonas Suotamo as the lovable Chewbacca, Woody Harrelson as Beckett, Emilia Clarke as Qi’ra and Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian.

The movie was action packed, with long battle scenes and basically told the story of where Han came from. They included a lot of thoughtful gems in terms of how things came to be. For example; we learn how Han became Han Solo, how Han met Chewbacca, what happened to the Wookiees and why Chewbacca wasn’t with them, how Han came to own the Millennium Falcon, and more.

Each character held their own and were all great with their roles. Alden was a handsome, charming Han Solo and captured the spirit of the character. Woody’s character as Beckett was an interesting character that came off as a good guy with bad guy tendencies, he and Han had great chemistry. Emilia also introduced us to Qi’ra, a beautiful girl that looks like the girl next door but has a killer instinct and is more willing to go the extra mile than people would imagine just by looking at her. She played her role  right because it was hard as the viewer to really trust her character. She went back and forth as a likable character. Then there was Donald Glover as Lando, prior to watching the film, I had heard that his character was the best. And after watching the film, I totally see why! Donald had perfect comedic timing, had an insane amount of charisma and really took the role of Lando and ran with it. Each of his scenes were brilliant. He really did a great job and brought a lot to the movie.
