The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) held a four-day event celebrating Latinx content creators at the Hollywood and Highland Center in Hollywood on June 21-24, 2018. The Latino Media Awards and Gala was held June 23rd and honored some of the industry’s top Latin creators.
This year, Victoria Alonso of Marvel Studios was awarded with Tech Arts Innovator Award for being the first and only Latina to executive produce a series of box office hits, including Iron Man, Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, and Guardians of the Galaxy, among others.
Other awardees of the night included, Diego Luna, Mishel Prada, Isabela Moner, Cris Abrego and Gustavo Santaolalla.
An exciting night for Latino’s in the media and entertainment industry as well as an exciting night for Marvel. The honor came days before Marvel’s upcoming release of Ant-Man & the Wasp out in theatres July 6th.
