Working on a big movie set with Hollywood’s biggest stars such as Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne can be nerve-wrecking, but for the young actors Gustavo Quiroz and Julianna Gamiz it was the start of something big.

Instant Family is Paramount’s newest family dramedy, starring Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne, a couple that ends up fostering three kids. And Instinct Culture got the opportunity to chat with both Gustavo Quiroz and Julianna Gamiz.
‘I’d never been part of a big film like this before. It was like really professional. They had really cool equipment.’
-Gustavo Quiroz, ‘Instant Family’ Press Day at Dave & Busters
Gustavo, has been acting since the age of four, and has racked up quite a list of credits. But working on the set of Instant Family was his first big film.

“At the beginning, I was really nervous, but everyone is so nice you get to used to it.’
Gustavo Quiroz
And just like they were a family on-screen, they also became a family off-screen.
“We stayed at the same hotel, so we would hang out all the time”
Gustavo Quiroz

And when it came down to finally seeing themselves on the big screen. Julianna said the experience was:
“It was awkward and cool”
Julianna Gamiz
Overall, Gustavo is happy that working on a set like Instant Family’s. Because he was able to ‘learn how to work on movies,’ and hopes to someday work with Marvel. His favorite superhero is Spider-Man. As for Julianna, she hopes to someday be on a TV Show.
