This past weekend Disney sadly announced the untimely passing of one of their current and brightest stars, Cameron Boyce, ending the 20 year old’s on going battle with Epilepsy. Cameron was found and pronounced dead on the scene when paramedics were called to his home in Los Angeles. “He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated. The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him,” the family spokesperson said in a statement to ABC. “We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”
Cameron was in the midst of promoting his latest Disney channel project, The Descendants 3, for which he reprises his role as Carlos, the evil offspring of Cruella de Vil.
He starred in the films previous 2 prequels as well as worked on the sitcom Jessie from 2011-2015, portraying the character Luke Ross. Since his passing- an outpouring of kind words has been shown through those that know and loved him including posts from his Disney channel co-stars, comedian Adam Sandler who worked with Cameron in his Grown Ups films, and even former First Lady Michelle Obama, who appeared on an episode of Jessie.
