HOV has so many nods under his belt it is strange when we hear news like this. But the Brooklyn boy has done it again. He has successfully placed 100 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, making him the 6th musical act to achieve the status. “MOOD 4 EVA” entered the charts at No. 90 which also features his wife Beyonce and Childish Gambino. The album comes as a complication effort executive produced by Beyonce to accompany the Disney remake The Lion King which has been in theaters for two weeks now.
Jay Z shares this record with Drake, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Elvis Presley, and the cast of Fox’s Glee. He made his Billboard debut back in 1996 with the double single “Ain’t No Nigga/Dead Presidents” which entered the chart at No. 50. He has had four number one slots as features which began when he collaborated with Mariah Carey on “Heartbreaker” in 1999. Him and Beyonce also made the number one slot with their “Crazy In Love” track back in 2003. “Umbrella” which he featured on with his own artist Rihanna and “Empire State of Mind” which he worked on with Alicia Keys complete his Billboard number one credits. Beyonce and Jay aren’t the only Carters that are Billboard capable however. Their first child, Blue Ivy, has also charted. She is featured on “Brown Skin Girl” with her mama which entered at No. 76.
