Hulu just released a 10-episode series on a high school student Victor Salazar who is going through his self-discovery phase as he tries to figure out his sexual identity.
The series follows Victor as he moves from Atlanta to Texas and becomes the new kid in school. Not only is he the new guy, but he also referred to as the “hottie,” which ends up landing him as the boyfriend to the most popular girl in school, Mia.
However, even though he is dating a girl that is not what his heart truly desires. What he really wants to be with is his school crush, Benji. In turn, we see Victor struggle as he comes to terms with his true desires, but that means he has to come out as gay to his friends, Mia, and his family. Which is not going to be easy at all.
Overall, the series follows a simple premise that is easy to follow. The main gist of the story is that Victor doesn’t know how to come out to his family, considering that the family may not be as open as others.
The cast includes Michael Camino, George Sear, Anthony Turpel, James Martinez, Mason Gooding, Rachel Naomi, Bebe Wood, Ana Ortiz, Isabella Ferriera and more.
