Sixteen year-old Sophie Pecora who was Brad Paisley’s Golden Buzzer pick on America’s Got Talent is hitting the music scene with her unique singer-songwriter/rap-poetry style of original pop music. Sophie has written over 100 songs, starting at age 9. Her song “7th Grade” won 1st place in the prestigious ISC songwriting competition teen category.
In this interview she discusses her experience and time on AGT, the inspiration behind songs like “7th Grade” and “Happy In LA” and what her process as a singer-songwriter is.
Sophie also lets us in on what is was like to have Brad Paisley to compare her to a early version of pop phenomenon Taylor Swift and how she felt seeing Grammy winner Billie Eilish react to her cover.
