The night was heavily promoted by WWE as the Undertaker’s Final Farewell, thirty years after the Deadman made his debut at the 1990 Survivor Series. Ahead of the event, Undertaker took part in several activities such as: launching a Cameo, Tik Tok, a fashion clothing line with Snoop Dogg, and more. Not to mention the thirty day celebration on the WWE Network which featured several brand new documentaries focusing on the Undertaker’s legendary career.

The Final Farewell may have taken place without a physical audience inside the WWE Thunderdome, but luckily Taker’s close friends and fellow legends were there to witness the moment. The following wrestlers were in attendance: Shane McMahon, Big Show, JBL , Jeff Hardy, Mick Foley, The Godfather, The Godwins, Savio Vega, Rikishi , Kevin Nash, Booker T, Shawn Michaels , Rio Flair, Triple H and Kane. Plus, Chairman and CEO of the WWE, Vince McMahon did the honors of introducing Taker for one final time to the ring.

The Undertaker’s message to the WWE Universe was short and straight to the point. He said, “My time has come, to let the Undertaker rest in peace.”

The night ended with the Undertaker doing his iconic pose, and a hologram of Paul Bearer. A beautiful tribute to the night and properly honor the legacy of the Undertaker.
