All Elite Wrestling is celebrating five years of AEW Dynamite on Wednesday, October 2nd. One of the matches taking place features Serena Deeb vs Britt Baker, a first time match-up. Deeb spoke about wrestling Baker for the very first time in a recent interview with us and also shared an interesting backstage tidbit.
During the interview, whilst speaking about the AEW Women’s division, Deeb stated she saw “a number of women” getting cleared last week.
“I think that the division right now, it couldn’t be more incredible because just last week I saw; I guess I won’t name drop in case they need to be surprises but there were a number of women there last week that were getting cleared. It’s really cool because right now the roster is stacked and it’s getting ready to be even more stacked with returning from injury players.”
Some of the women out with injuries at the moment are, Julia Hart (shoulder injury), Skye Blue (ankle), Thunder Rosa (concussion).
Serena Deeb will wrestle Britt Baker for the very first time on AEW Dynamite, both women have been with AEW for several years, yet this will be the first time their paths have crossed. Baker was the first women signed to AEW, and Deeb has been with the promotion since 2020.
