Bryan Danielson spoke with our own Denise Salcedo at today’s AEW All In 2025 media event at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
The former AEW World Champion confirmed he’ll attend the event on Saturday, July 12, 2025, but as for performing on the show, Danielson still doesn’t know if he’ll ever be able to wrestle again.
Following his loss to Jon Moxley at AEW WrestleDream, Danielson noted that while his full-time wrestling career was over, he does not consider himself retired. However, he has a potentially career-ending neck injury that may require surgery.
He said:
My neck is not great.
It’s causing me to not sleep good and some of these other things but at the end of the day, I’m happy.
On if he’ll have surgery on his neck:
I’m trying to avoid it.
The idea to me is that surgery is a last resort, not a first resort. I’m trying some other things, and I’m a little kooky. People who know me know I’m a little kooky. I’m going to try some other things first before going under the knife. So, that’s kind of my plan now.
On the chances of him wrestling again:
If I had to guess, right now, I would say it’s 50/50 if I’ll ever (wrestle again), and you know what, I’m okay with that. I loved the time I got to spend doing this, but I also love what I’m doing now.
