Report: Ex-AEW star believed to be behind WWE Raw vignette

New information is available regarding who could be the wrestler behind the mystery vignette that aired this week on WWE Raw.

The video featured a flashing black zero with a line crossing through it before the screen cuts to text that reads, “Coming On 1.6.25,” likely referring to the Raw on Netflix premiere date.

According to a report from PWInsider, the belief backstage is that the video is teasing the debut of Penta El Zero Miedo, aka Pentagon Jr.

Penta and his brother Rey Fenix had been with AEW since the company started in 2019. However, AEW removed Penta from the company’s official roster page on December 5, 2024. As for Fenix, AEW added additional time to his contract for time missed due to injury, and he will not be free to sign with WWE until well into 2025. Dave Meltzer reported in September that AEW had tacked “almost but not quite a year” of injury time onto Fenix’s contract.

While Penta hasn’t wrestled since late September, he did appear at a set of AAA TV tapings in Mexico earlier this month. Fenix hasn’t wrestled since July.

During their five-year run in AEW, The Lucha Bros won the World Tag titles once and the World Trios titles once. They were also voted Tag Team of the Year in the 2019 Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards and had Match of the Year in 2022 with The Young Bucks at All Out.

Penta is also a former Impact World Champion and two-time Lucha Underground Champion.
