United Airlines acted in a completely appropriate manner recently while Chelsea Green was aboard one of the airline’s flights.
Green won WWE Women’s United States Champion last week at Saturday Night’s Main Event, defeating Michin in the finals of a tournament to determine the inaugural champion.
In what will hopefully become a tradition for all airline and transportation companies, flight attendants encouraged other passengers to give Green a round of applause for her accomplishment. They even gave out her seat number in case passengers wanted to offer congratulatory messages to Green personally.
“We do want to take this time to give a special shout-out to WWE Superstar Chelsea Green, who is right now seated at 11C. Chelsea just won a title belt last night in Long Island, New York. Congratulations, Chelsea. If we can have a round of applause for Chelsea Green, thank you.”
Green posted the footage to social media on Monday:
My reign as @WWE Women’s US champion has transcended the professional wrestling community and has hit international airspace. 🇺🇸

Last month, Green was also recognized by Delta Airlines, who correctly predicted she would win the United States title.
“We do have a special announcement this morning, we have on board Miss Chelsea Green. She’s our future WWE Women’s United States Champion. She also has 1 million followers on Instagram. Thank you for choosing Delta, Ms. Green. It’s a pleasure to have you on board this morning.”
