WWE Has Discussed Using Hulk Hogan For Upcoming Events

Hulk Hogan could appear on WWE programming in the not-too-distant future.

Hogan was not used or featured in video packages for the return of Saturday Night’s Main Event last month, leading many to believe WWE had moved on from him. However, Fightful Select reports that WWE has discussed bringing Hogan in for future events.

Hogan has been featured in advertising for this month’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, scheduled for San Antonio on January 25, but it’s unclear if he’ll appear on the show.

During an appearance on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast in September, Hogan revealed that he had recently signed a five-year deal with WWE.

“I’ve signed a five-year deal, I’m going to be 71 years old in a few weeks,” he said. “I signed a five-year deal for the licensing and merchandising stuff, and the ambassador stuff. If they need me to do something for WrestleMania, I just love doing it.”

Hogan has been featured on WWE programming sparingly in recent years. The company celebrated “40 Years of Hulkamania” last January to mark the anniversary of Hogan defeating The Iron Sheik and winning the WWF Championship on January 23, 1984. Hogan also appeared on the Raw XXX special the year prior in 2023. Before that, Hogan co-hosted WrestleMania 37 alongside Titus O’Neil.

Hulk Hogan has faced controversy since July 2015, when private recordings surfaced of him using racial slurs and making anti-Black comments. WWE terminated its contract with Hogan and removed him from the Hall of Fame shortly after. In 2018, Hogan was reinstated into both WWE and the Hall of Fame. Most recently, Hogan publicly endorsed Donald Trump for president and made an appearance at the Republican National Convention in November.
