During an appearance on The Sports Agents podcast, the first-ever and longest-reigning Women’s United States Champion has weighed in on WWE’s management team.
Hosts Gabby Logan and Mark Chapman asked Chelsea Green about the difference between WWE now and the WWE run by Vince McMahon. Green responded that while she can’t speak to what WWE was like during different eras, she feels supported at work and that Triple H ensures the women on the roster feel equal to the men.
Green said:
“In 2025, we would not have the success that we have if it wasn’t for that attitude era. The Bellas, the Trish Stratus’, the Litas, the Mickie James’; They set the tone for us. I can’t speak on what their era was like because I wasn’t there, but now in this new era, I know that I come to work, I love my job, I feel safe, I feel supported. Triple H makes women specifically feel absolutely equal to men. We are out there main eventing WrestleManias now, something that, unfortunately, that previous era didn’t get to experience, but they set the table for us, and now we’re sitting at it, we’re enjoying these amazing meals, and I couldn’t be happier with the Netflix era.”

Green is currently in her second run with WWE after her first ended with her release in April 2021. Following her departure from the company, Green returned to TNA Wrestling and also performed for promotions such as Billy Corgan’s NWA and Australia’s World Series of Wrestling. Green returned to WWE in the Women’s 2023 Royal Rumble match and has played a significant role on WWE programming since. She is a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion along with Piper Niven (and Sonya Deville before that), and defeated Michin at Saturday Night’s Main Event last month to write her name in the history books as the first-ever Women’s United States Champion.
