This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite emanates from the Propst Arena At Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Alabama! Jeff Jarrett takes on Claudio Castagnoli. Mercedes Mone defends the TBS Championship. Will Ospreay battles Brian Cage, and more!

Brian Cage (w/ Don Callis & Lance Archer) vs. Will Ospreay
Don Callis points to the big screen, where Kenny Omega is seen lying backstage after a beatdown. In the ring, Ospreay takes down Cage with a hurricanrana. Cage drops him with a shoulder tackle in return. Ospreay sends him crashing into the ring post. Ospreay leaps off the barricade, but Cage catches him and plants him with vertical slam. As Cage distracts the referee, Archer and Callis land strikes on Ospreay. Cage drops Ospreay back-first onto the apron, then rams him into the corner.
Ospreay fires off chops. Cage levels him with a dropkick. Ospreay fights back with elbow strikes. Cage responds with a pair of backbreakers. Cage chops Ospreay in the corner, then whips him into another. Cage locks Ospreay in a Bear Hug. Ospreay breaks it with a headbutt, then follows up with a corkscrew kick. Cage catches Ospreay with an enziguri. Ospreay hits a kick of his own before following up with a springboard elbow for a near fall. Ospreay sends Cage through the ropes and kicks him to the floor. Ospreay delivers a Sasuke Special.
The action returns to the ring, with Ospreay rocking Cage with a pair of kicks. Cage blocks an Os-cutter and nails Ospreay with a Liger Bomb. Cage hits a lariat in the corner. The two then meet up top, with Cage driving Ospreay into the mat below. Ospreay counters a powerbomb with a hurricanrana. He follows up with a Styles Clash for the win.
Winner: Will Ospreay
After the match, Archer and Cage beat down Ospreay. Kenny Omega runs down with a chair in hand. He strikes Archer with it, then launches it at Cage. He and Ospreay stare off with Cage and Archer. Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita sneak up behind the former two and lay them out with a pair of piledrivers. Don Callis stomps away at Omega.
Backstage, “Hangman” Adam Page is seen looking for Swerve Strickland. He then runs into MJF and exchanges glances. MJF says tonight he gets to prove that his words are prophecy when Jeff Jarrett will attempt to beat Claudio Castagnoli.
Claudio Castagnoli vs. Jeff Jarrett
Jarrett and Claudio lock up, with the latter backing up the former into the corner. Claudio takes down Jarrett with a shoulder tackle. Jarrett responds with a hip toss and an arm drag. Jarrett fires off right hands in the corner. Claudio responds with a clothesline. Jarrett locks in the Figure Four. Claudio reaches the bottom rope to break it. Claudio waves in Wheeler Yuta, who walks up to the barricade.
Back from break, Claudio uppercuts Jarrett in the corner. He then delivers a stomp for a two count. Jarrett and Claudio trade strikes. Jarrett stomps at Claudio’s legs. Claudio takes Jarrett for a swing. He then locks in a Sharpshooter. Jarrett reverses into a Sharpshooter of his own. Yuta slides in a chair and distracts the referee. Jarrett ducks a chair shot from Claudio. Jon Moxley runs in and spikes Jarrett with a Paradigm Shift. Claudio follows up with The Neutralizer for the win.
Winner: Claudio Castagnoli
Post-match, MJF comes down to the ring with a mic. He decks Jarrett with a clothesline and taunts him.
Backstage, Ricochet says he and Renee Paquette will sit down for an interview on AEW Collision.
Ricochet vs. AR Fox
Ricochet and Fox lock up. Fox takes him down with a pair of shoulder tackles, then rolls him up for a one count. Fox lands a cutter and a corkscrew brainbuster. Ricochet rolls to the outside. Fox dives onto him. He then chops Ricochet against the barricade. They meet on the apron, where Ricochet rocks Fox with a hip toss.
Back from break, Ricochet delivers a spinebuster and a standing moonsault press. Fox and Ricochet collide as they both look for a clothesline. Fox connects with an enziguri. He then plants Ricochet for a near fall. Fox lands a cutter and a 450 Splash for another near fall. Ricochet hits a jawbreaker. He follows up with Spirit Gun and Vertigo for the win.
Winner: Ricochet
After the match, Ricochet reveals a pair of scissors. Swerve Strickland drags him out of the ring and throws him into the steel steps. He rolls Ricochet back in the ring. Ricochet puts AR Fox in a headlock with the scissors in hand. This prevents Strickland from hitting a Swerve Stomp.
Backstage, Chris Jericho confirms that he and Bryan Keith will take on The Outrunners on AEW Collision.
Jay White vs. Wheeler Yuta
White looks for a Bladerunner, but Yuta evades it. The bells rings and Yuta retreats to the outside. He returns at the referee’s count of five. White delivers a series of chops, then stomps on him. White rocks Yuta with a back body drop. Yuta gets hung up on the ropes, then chopped to the outside. White slams Yuta against the top of the barricade. The referee urges the men to return to the ring. Yuta connects with a dropkick and sends White crashing into the side of the ring. Yuta slams White’s leg against the steel steps. The action returns to the ring, with Yuta delivering a fishermen’s suplex.
Back from break, White plants Yuta with a dragonscrew. The two go up top. Yuta gouges White’s eye. White bounces back a superplex for a near fall. Yuta applies a single legged Boston Crab. White reaches the bottom rope to break it. Yuta drops White for a near fall. Yuta delivers elbow strikes, which White responds to with a uranage. White looks for a Blade Runner. Yuta counters into a roll-up. Yuta follows up with a German suplex. He then looks for a splash, but White rolls out of the way. Yuta charges in with a knee, but White reverses it into a Blade Runner for the win.
Winner: Jay White
After the match, White lays out Yuta with another Blade Runner. The Death Riders surround the ring, with Claudio attacking White from behind. Adam Copeland and FTR run down to even the odds. Dax Harwood then challenges the Death Riders to a match on AEW Collision.
Renee Paquette introduces AEW Women’s Champion Mariah May. May addresses her recent encounter with Toni Storm from Collision. May tells Storm she can play the Storm that cried and bled in her hands. May says she can also play Storm that walked out of Wembley Stadium, Japan, and Mexico because she couldn’t touch May. According to May, though, it doesn’t matter which Storm she plays because the ending stays the same. May says when one is this good, they don’t need to change a thing. May says she will always be the woman from hell and she’ll remind Storm of that for the rest of her life.
Backstage, Deonna Purrazzo says she would be the one challenging Mercedes Mone if it wasn’t for Harley Cameron. Purrazzo says Cameron now belongs to The Vendetta, and Saturday, she and Taya Valkyrie will come to collect.
AEW TBS Title Match Mercedes Mone (c) vs. Yuka Sakazaki
Sakazaki and Mone lock up. Mone takes her down with a shoulder tackle. Sakazaki responds with a shoulder of her own. Mone chops Sakazaki, then follows up with an arm drag. Sakazaki rolls to the outside. Mone looks for a baseball slide, but Sakazaki blocks it. Sakazaki connects with an enziguri. She then looks to dive off the top, but Sakazaki backs away. Mone sweeps Sakazaki off her feet, then leaps off the top with a meteora.
Back from break, Sakazaki rocks Mone with a hurricanrana. She then evades a meteora from Mone in the corner. Sakazaki knocks Mone to the mat with a missile dropkick, then follows up with a drop brainbuster for a near fall. Mone hits the Three Amigos. She ascends the turnbuckle, where Sakazaki meets her with an elbow strike. Sakazaki connects with a thrust kick and dizzies Mone with a merry-go-round. Mone bounces back with a backstabber and a Statement Maker. Sakazaki counters with a roll-up and a rolling elbow strike. Sakazaki rocks Mone with a German suplex, then goes for a Magical Girl Splash. Mone blocks it with her knees. She executes a powerbomb and Money Maker for the win.
