Asuka says WWE taking action to protect her after sharing safety concerns

Asuka has shared that WWE and its parent company, TKO Group Holdings, are taking action to protect her following a series of social media posts in which she expressed concern for her safety and urged fans not to make any “romantic or personal approaches” toward her.

“WWE and TKO are taking action to protect me. I appreciate it,” she wrote on Friday.

On January 29, Asuka posted a series of messages on X about dealing with fans in public. She noted that she had contacted the police because she had recently felt in danger.

“I’ve been feeling in danger recently. I’ve already consulted the police. At this rate, even if fans approach me at the airport or in the city, I will feel the possibility that something might happen, and it will scare me, making me unable to respond,” she wrote.

Asuka added, “Please don’t have romantic feelings for me. It’s meaningless—100% pointless.”

Several wrestlers responded to Asuka’s comments online. Her longtime rival, Charlotte Flair, offered her support, writing, “Sorry you’re going through this. Love you, woman.”

Nia Jax also responded to one of Asuka’s posts:

Asuka has been sidelined since May of last year after undergoing knee surgery. Fightful Select recently reported that creative pitches had been made for her return.
