This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite emanates from the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona! MJF and “Hangman” Adam Page face off. Megan Bayne takes on Kris Statlander. Rodering Strong and Orange Cassidy battle in the main event and more!

We Hear From MJF & “Hangman” Adam Page
MJF looks back at AEW’s first ever PPV, Double or Nothing, where he claims Page screwed him out of winning the match. From there, MJF says he had to scratch and claw his way back to the top. MJF says he has since beaten everyone’s favorites, including Page. MJF lists off his accolades, including being the longest reigning AEW World Champion. MJF calls himself the greatest wrestler on Earth.
Page says he knows exactly what MJF has done. He gives MJF some credit, but also says he sounded angry when listing off his accolades. Page says it seems like MJF is angry because he hasn’t won over the crowd. MJF says it’s ridiculous that the crowd gets to decide who is redeemable and who’s not. MJF recalls Page’s vices, including burning down a man’s home and retiring Christopher Daniels. Page says Daniels went out fighting. He also calls Daniels selfless, which MJF isn’t. Page asks what the crowd would say about MJF if his career ended tonight. He believes they would call him an opportunist and a coward. Page says he’s lied 1000 times, but never to the crowd. He also points out that he addresses his problems eye to eye, unlike MJF. Page says MJF has spent five years cheating his way to the top.
MJF asks if Page is a child. MJF says the history books don’t care how one gets the job done. MJF says he’s earned everything, unlike Page. MJF claims that Page was the chosen one before AEW even formed. Meanwhile, all MJF needed was a scarf and a mic. MJF reiterates that he is better Page. The two stare off, with the crowd chanting “Cowboy Shit.” MJF says Page can be the main character all he wants because he has no problem being the bad guy. The two prepare to fight. MJF spits on Page, prompting him to chase after. MJF retreats up the ramp while security holds back Page. Page fights off the security. Christopher Daniels runs in to break it up and says this is what he was fighting for the whole time. Daniels tells Page he knows who he is.
Backstage, Roderick Strong looks ahead to his match against Orange Cassidy. He says they are destined to dance forever. Adam Cole says regardless of who is friends with who, Strong will whoop Cassidy’s ass.
The Patriarchy (Christian Cage, Kip Sabian & Nick Wayne) (w/ Mama Wayne) vs. The Opps (Hook, Katsuyori Shibata & Samoa Joe)
Shibata and Sabian kick off the action by trading arm submissions. Shibata tags in Joe. Joe and Shibata deliver a series of chops to Sabian. Joe flattens Sabian with a senton. Sabian tags in Cage, who immediately tags in Wayne. Joe chops Wayne. Joe tags Shibata back in. Shibata lays in more chops to Wayne’s chest. Shibata tags in Hook. Hook chops Wayne as well. Shibata tags back in again and knocks Cage off the apron. Sabian clocks Shibata in response. Wayne lands a snap suplex on Shibata.
Back from break, Shibata connects with a jumping kick to Wayne and a dropkick to Sabian. Hook tags in and drops Sabian and Cage with suplexes. Hook delivers a suplex on Wayne as well. All six men trade moves, with Joe finally diving onto Cage to the outside. Meanwhile, Wayne covers Hook for a two count. Wayne looks for a Wayne’s World, but Hook catches him in a Redrum. Joe prevents Cage from reentering the ring as Wayne taps out.
Winners: The Opps
Backstage, Chris Jericho says no one in AEW would have a job without him. Jericho congrats Bandido on pinning him at Grand Slam. He then offers Bandido an ROH World Championship match.
Street Fight: Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Big Bill
Bill and Hobbs fight through the crowd, trading strikes. Hobbs clotheslines Bill over the barricade, back to the ringside area. Bill throws a sound mixer at Hobbs, then whacks him with a keyboard. Bill retrieves a wrench from under the ring. He swings and misses when trying to hit Hobbs with it. Hobbs swings a chair at him in response. Bill connects with the wrench, then moves the steel stairs. Bill boots Hobbs in the face, then slams him onto the stairs.
Back from break, Hobbs smashes a trashcan over Bill’s head. Bryan Keith runs in and tries to surprise Hobbs with a chair. Hobbs catches him and sends him crashing through a table. Hobbs slams Bill onto the stage. Hobbs dumps bricks out of Bill’s backpack, then fires off more right hands. The two men trade strikes. Hobbs bounces Bill off the steel steps. Hobbs sends Bill crashing through a barbed wire table. The referee begins counting. Bill is unable to reach his feet before a count of ten.
Winner: Powerhouse Hobbs
Backstage, Lance Archer and Brian Cage say they’re taking the AEW Tag Team Championships and everybody out.
We Hear From “Timeless” Toni Storm
Storm celebrates her win over Mariah May at Grand Slam Australia. She says she faced a woman who broke her heart and ruined her soul. Storm is proud of May, though, as she gave her the fight of her life. Storm says she railed May with the biggest package there’s ever been. Storm gives a plug to her upcoming appearance in “Queen of the Ring.” Storm says as champion she needs to face the best in AEW. She also says God is a woman and her name is Timeless Toni Storm.
Backstage, Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir attack Willow Nightingale again. Moxley says no one comes in and lays down a challenge to him, let alone Adam Copeland. Moxley says if Copeland shows up at AEW Revolution, he will finish the job he started at Grand Slam. Jay White emerges on the stage. Pac sneaks up behind up. Copeland hits the ring and takes down the Death Riders with the help of White. Copeland retrieves his nail-filled bat from under the ring and begins swinging, but the Death Riders retreat. Copeland grabs a mic and says the people aren’t his, they are Copeland’s. Copeland calls Moxley a coward, then vows to take out the Death Riders one by one leading up to Revolution.
Backstage, Mercedes Mone says no one is stopping the Money Train. AEW replays Momo Watanabe calling her out for a TBS Championship match. Mone tells her to show up to Dynamite and say it to her face.
Kris Statlander vs. Megan Bayne
Statlander and Bayne lock up. Statlander attempts a shoulder tackle, but Bayne is unfazed. Statlander tries again and gets dropped. Bayne kicks Statlander. Statlander responds with a standing moonsault press. Bayne spears Statlander.
Back from break, Bayne connects with a big boot. Statlander drops her with a kick to the back of her head in return. Bayne hits an elbow strike and German suplex. Statlander slams Bayne on the apron. Bayne sets up Statlander in the corner. Statlander knocks her to the mat. Penelope Ford pushes Statlander off the turnbuckle as the referee is distracted. Bayne drops Statlander with an F5 for the win.
Winner: Megan Bayne
After the match, Ford fires off right hands on Statlander. Thunder Rosa makes the save with a chair in hand.
Backstage, Max Caster lays out an open challenge for AEW Collision, vowing they can’t be better than the best.
We Hear From Ricochet
Ricochet says much like Kevin Durant, he is trying to get out of Phoenix as soon as possible. Ricochet then addresses the people at home. Ricochet says all the booing doesn’t matter, because they are booing into a void of nothingness. Ricochet says he proved himself as a winner since the moment he stepped into AEW. He says he’s been whooping the ass of all the fans’ favorite wrestlers. Ricochet says winners always have something to show for their success.
Ricochet says he came to AEW to wear a championship and be the main name on the roster. He asserts that in 2025 he will in fact be champion. Swerve Strickland’s music hits. Prince Nana comes out shaking his head. Nana says he told Strickland to stay home tonight. Nana tells Ricochet he has something of his that he wants back, that being his robe. Nana says his robe represents pride and integrity. Nana says anyone that wears his robes has honor. He points out that he never gave Ricochet permission to wear the robe. He then asks Ricochet to give it back. Ricochet tells Nana to take it. Ricochet then says Nana isn’t getting it back.
Revolution International Title Series: Roderick Strong vs. Orange Cassidy
Cassidy and Strong lock up. Cassidy rolls out of the ring and hugs Kyle O’Reilly. Adam Cole stares him down. Cassidy rolls back into the ring. Strong then hugs both O’Reilly and Cole. Cassidy dives onto Strong, then hugs O’Reilly again. Cassidy leaps off the top, only to be hit with a dropkick from Strong. Strong lays in a chop. Cassidy rolls out of the ring again, clutching his chest. Strong stomps away at him when he returns.
Back from break, Cassidy spikes Strong with a DDT. Strong responds with a series of chops. Cassidy knocks him down with a dropkick, then bounces him off the turnbuckles. Cassidy leaps off the top with a crossbody. Cassidy lands another DDT. Strong connects with a kick. Cassidy drops him with a Beach Break for a near fall. Strong delivers a knee strike and a pair of backbreakers. Cassidy rolls up Strong for a two count. Strong hits another backbreaker before transitioning into a leg submission. Cassidy reaches the bottom rope to break it. Cassidy lands a Stundog Millionaire and an Orange Punch for the win.
Winner: Orange Cassidy
After the match, Don Callis, Mark Davis, and Konosuke Takeshita emerge on the stage. Callis says Cassidy is a red-headed hippie. Davis and Takeshita double team Cassidy. Kenny Omega runs down and fires off strikes on Takeshita. Davis puts him in a chokehold. Takeshita then rocks him with an elbow strike. Cassidy and Omega bounce back, causing Takeshita and Davis to retreat. Omega holds up the International Championship.
