We Hear From Master P
Tony Schiavone welcomes recording artist Master P to the ring. Master P introduces the new AEW Trios Champions Samoa Joe, Katsuyori Shibata, and Powerhouse Hobbs. Joe says The Opps have come here to celebrate their wins. Joe also thanks Master P for all he does for the city. Marina Shafir appears through the crowd. This distracts The Opps, allowing The Death Riders to attack them from behind. Jon Moxley stares down Master P. Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch on Moxley.
The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada make the save for him. Shafir then guides Moxley out of the ring. Swerve Strickland’s music hits. Joe runs The Young Bucks and Okada out of the ring. Kenny Omega’s music hits. He comes equipped with a chair, prompting that trio to retreat through the crowd. Omega, Strickland, and The Opps stare down The Death Riders and The Elite from the ring, Joe vows to choke out Moxley and take back the AEW World Championship.
Backstage, Christian Cage says he gave Nick Wayne a month to spread his wing. Cage congrats on his ROH title win. Cage says good things happens when Wayne opens his ears and listens to him. Wayne says when people stick to the plan, one actually wins championships. Cage hands over Wayne’s title to him and says he loves his family.
Mark Briscoe vs. Ricochet
Briscoe lands a flurry of right hands on Ricochet, then follows up with kicks, one of which knocks Ricochet to the outside. Briscoe with a scissor kick through the ropes as well. Briscoe chops Ricochet along the barricade. Ricochet connects with a pump kick on the apron. Briscoe knocks Ricochet to the floor, then nails him with an elbow drop. Back in the ring, Briscoe connects with a loud chop and an uppercut. When Briscoe charges at him in the corner, Ricochet pulls the referee in front of him. Briscoe pauses, allowing Ricochet to turn the momentum into his favor.
Back from break, Briscoe rolls up Ricochet for a two count. Ricochet does the same. Ricochet follows up with a brainbuster and an kick to Briscoe’s head. Briscoe blocks a springboard elbow with a slam to the mat. Briscoe calls for the Jay Driller, but Ricochet reverses it. Briscoe hits a sliding lariat, then goes up top. Briscoe looks for a frog splash, but Ricochet rolls out of the way. He then lands a springboard 450 for a near fall on Briscoe.
Briscoe knocks Ricochet off the top rope with a slap. He then dives through the ropes, before returing to the ring with a lariat. Ricochet rolls up Briscoe with his legs on the ropes. Briscoe manages to reverse and pin Ricochet for the win.
Winner: Mark Briscoe
After the match, Ricochet nails Briscoe with a pair of chair shots to the back. Ricochet reveals a pair of scissors. Before he can use them, Kevin Knight runs down and takes the scissors from him. Ricochet runs off.
We Hear From FTR
Tony Schiavone begins to introduce FTR, but Stokely Hathaway comes out to do it instead. Stokely recalls FTR being suspended for “accidentally” hitting Schiavone. Meanwhile, Stokely points out that other talents have committed much worse actions without any punishments. He calls it unjust. Stokely says he will have FTR’s expunged from their records. Stokely confirms himself as the new agent to FTR.
Cash Wheeler says Daniel Garcia gave them no choice last week. Wheeler says they put Garcia, Cope, and AEW first and that got them nowhere, so now they’re putting themselves first. Dax Harwood calls for the Rock N Roll Express to join them in the ring. Harwood asks Rock N Express what their greatest match ever is. Harwood disrupts and says their best match happened in Philadelphia against The Midnight Express. Harwood continues to ask the duo questions, without letting them answer for themselves. Eventually, FTR lay out both Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson. Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong run down to make the save, prompting FTR and Stokely to retreat.
Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson)
Bailey and Matt go for kicks at the same time, resulting in their legs locking up. Nick runs in and takes down Bailey. Knight comes in to even the odds. Knight delivers a crossbody to Matt. He then sends Matt crashing into Nick on the outside. Bailey and Knight dive onto both of their opponents on the outside. Matt sends Knight to the outside. Nick kicks Bailey in the face. Nick follows up with a facebuster. He then takes down Knight with a moonsault on the outside.
Back from break, Nick and Matt double team Knight. Knight tags in Bailey. Matt looks for an EVP trigger, but Bailey blocks it. Bailey and Nick kick each other at the same time. Nick rocks Knight with a roundhouse kick. Nick and Knight trade strikes. Knight then takes down Nick with a hurricanrana. Bailey powerbombs him, while Knight hits backstabber at the same time. Bailey dives onto Matt on the outside, while Knight leaps onto Nick in the ring.
Back on the outside, Nick nails Knight with an elbow. Bailey knocks Nick off the apron, then tries to follow up with a moonsault, but Nick and Matt catch him. Matt dropkicks him in the back while Nick holds him. Knight spikes them both a DDT. Ricochet runs down and pulls Knight’s leg. He then leaps off the top, only to get caught by Matt. Matt and Nick finish him off with an EVP Trigger.
Winners: The Young Bucks
Backstage, Toni Storm says she’s been watching all the competitors in the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. She confirms she will host a championship eliminator on Collision. Queen Aminata accepts.
We Hear From The Hurt Syndicate
MVP reiterates that they hurt people. MVP points out that all their challengers have yet to bounce back and are still hurting. MVP hands the mic over to Bobby Lashley. Before Lashley can talk, MJF pulls up in a car, then heads to the ring. MJF says if they want to have a good time for the rest of their lives, all they have to do is give him three thumbs up. MVP gives MJF a thumbs up again. Shelton Benjamin finally does as well, but clarifies that he did it because of MVP. Lashley goes to reveal his decision, but MJF interrupts. MJF promises to bring his knowledge to The Hurt Syndicate, such as winning by any means necessary. MJF says they can run professional wrestling together. MJF admits to being prickly toward Lashley and apologizes.
MJF also promises to give Lashley his car. Lashley asks MJF to see his key. MJF leads them backstage to it, then hands over the keys. Lashley gives MJF a thumbs down, then drives off.
Brody King & Will Ospreay vs. Don Callis Family (Josh Alexander & Konosuke Takeshita)
Alexander blindsides Ospreay with a sneak attack. Ospreay hits Alexander with an Atomic Drop, then applies an Ankle Lock. Alexander powers out, countering with a bodyslam and a knee strike to the neck. King storms in with a flurry of strikes in the corner and drives his boot into Alexander’s neck. Ospreay tags back in. Takeshita catches him off guard with a strike from behind.
Back from break, King runs over Alexander with a clothesline. He does the same to Takeshita. King dives onto both of them with a tope suicida. He then stacks them on top of each other on a chair and runs in with a crossbody. King rolls Takeshita back into the ring and crushes him in the corner. Ospreay nails Takeshita with a stomp to the back and a backbreaker. King slams him to the mat for a near fall. Ospreay rocks Takeshita with elbows and an enziguri. Takeshita responds with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Alexander and King tag back in.
King knocks down Alexander with a lariat. King follows up with a cannonball. Lance Archer distracts the referee. King knocks Archer off the apron. Ospreay then dives onto him on the outside. Alexander rocks Ospreay with a big right hand and powerbomb. Takeshita boots King in the corner. Alexander follows up with a German suplex. He and Takeshita rock King with elbow strikes. Takeshita connects with a running knee. Alexander spikes him with a piledriver for the win.
Winner: Josh Alexander & Konosuke Takeshita
After the match, Archer, Takeshita, and Alexander triple team Ospreay. Archer chokeslams Ospreay. Kyle Fletcher comes out to the ring as well. “Hangman” Adam Page follows suit. Trent Barretta and Rocky Romero sneak up behind and attack him. Page threatens to hit Fletcher, but the numbers game is too much. Fletcher drops Page with a brainbuster.
Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Semi-Finals: Jamie Hayter vs. Kris Statlander
Hayter drops Statlander with a shoulder tackle. Statlander does the same in return. Hayter suplexes Statlander into the corner. She then runs in with a pair of knees and follows up with a missile dropkick. Statlander rocks Hayter with an uppercut in the corner. Statlander looks for a standing moonsault off the apron, but Hayter dodges it and kicks her on the outside.
Back from break, Statlander drops Hayter with a German suplex. She then locks in a dragon sleeper hold. Hayter rolls out of it and traps her in a headscissors. Statlander slams Hayter to the mat. She follows up with knees to the back of Hayter’s head. Statlander looks for Saturday Fever, but Hayter reverses it into a roll-up. She rocks Statlander with a thrust kick. Statlander responds with a kick of her own, then powerbombs Hayter. Hayter returns with a backbreaker.
Statlander plants Hayter to the mat, then goes up top. Statlander descends with a 450 Splash. Statlander looks for another 450 off the top, but Hayter fends her off and plants rocks her with a lariat. Hayter follows up with a Hayterade for the win.
Winner: Jamie Hayter
After the match, Mercedes Mone emerges onto the entrance stage and stares down Hayter, whom she’ll be facing in the tournament finals.
