This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite emanates from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! We break it all down in this week’s AEW Dynamite recap!
We Hear From FTR
Cash Wheeler, Dax Harwood, and Stokely head to the ring. Harwood says there was an injustice at Forbidden Door when the illegal competitor pinned him during the AEW Tag Team Championship match. Harwood calls forth the referee from the tag title match. Harwood asks the referee if he can imagine going home to his wife and kid and telling them he lost because of an incompetent man. Harwood says that’s what he had to do after Forbidden Door. Harwood says to right the wrong, he needs the referee to reverse his decision and name FTR the new tag champs. The referee says his decision is final.
Stokely calls the referee a moron. Stokely says the referee wants to appease the fans, but he implores him to do the right thing and reverse his decision. Stokely shoves the referee. Harwood confronts the referee again. Adam Copeland and Christian Cage come down to the ring. Cage plants Stokely with a Killswitch. He and Copeland then level FTR. AEW officials separate them. Cage says it’s time to take care of Copeland’s problem. Cage points out that Harwood and Wheeler have fathers, but they are dead. Copeland confirms that he and Cage will face FTR at All Out.
Jon Moxley (w/ Marina Shafir & Wheeler Yuta) vs. Daniel Garcia
Moxley and Garcia lock up. Garcia cinches in a head lock, but Moxley escapes. Moxley drops Garcia with a shoulder tackle and a back elbow. Moxley chops Garcia in the corner, then rains down with right hands. Garcia delivers a dragonscrew through the ropes. He follows Moxley to the outside and dropkicks him against the barricade. Shafir distracts Garcia, allowing Moxley to boot Garcia off the apron. Daddy Magic comes out to even the odds for Garcia. He stares down with Shafir. Garcia returns to the ring and fires off elbow strikes. Garcia cinches in and ankle lock. Moxley reaches the ropes to break it.
Back from break, Moxley whips Garcia into the steel steps. Moxley thumbs Garcia in the eyes. Moxley chokes Garcia against the ropes with his boot. Moxley digs into Garcia’s back. Garcia slaps Moxley atop the turnbuckle, then descends with a superplex. Moxley blocks a pair of lariat attempts, then boots Garcia. Garcia bounces off the ropes and drops Moxley with a lariat on his third attempt. They trade pinfall attempts.
Garcia chops Moxley again. Garcia counters a Paradigm Shift with a single leg crab. Moxley crawls to the ropes to break it. Moxley spikes Garcia on the ring steps. Daddy Magic rolls Garcia back into the ring. Garcia rolls up Moxley for a two count. Moxley cinches in arm bar. Garcia rolls through it and locks in a Sharpshooter. Garcia drives Moxley into the mat with a piledriver. Moxley rolls up Garcia for the win.
Winner: Jon Moxley
After the match, Yuta grabs a microphone.
We Hear From Wheeler Yuta
Yuta says Moxley is not going to answer Darby Allin’s challenge. Garcia and Moxley shove each other. They eventually separate. Yuta returns to the ring recalls doing ring crew in the arena as a teenager. He says he broke bones in the building too, but all it got him was boos. Yuta says he doesn’t care though. Yuta says the cheers didn’t help Will Ospreay, Chick Taylor, or Bryan Danielson. Yuta says he slayed the Dragon and replaced him.
Hook’s music hits. He heads down to the ring and cinches in the Red Rum on Yuta. Hook follows up with a flying punch before heading to the back.
Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford vs. Harley Cameron & Kris Statlander
Statlander shoves Ford to the mat. Ford drives Statlander into the mat. Statlander trips her up in return, then lands a leg drop. Statlander and Cameron follow up with a backbreaker-lariat combo. Cameron clotheslines Ford against the ropes. Statlander slams Cameron onto Ford next. Statlander hits a delayed vertical suplex. Bayne tags in, as does Cameron. Cameron lands a series of stomps on Bayne in the corner. Bayne catches Cameron and slams her to the mat. Ford tags in and kicks Cameron in the corner. Cameron boots Ford in the jaw. Bayne wipes Cameron out with a lariat. Ford follows with a dropkick.
Back from break, Statlander rock Bayne with a running knee. She then flattens Ford. Bayne launches Ford into Statlander. Bayne drives Statlander down with a running lariat. Bayne slams Cameron. She and Ford go up top, but miss their moonsaults. Statlander and Cameron double team Bayne. Ford rocks Statlander with a crucifix bomb. Cameron levels Ford with a neckbreaker. Bayne takes down Cameron. Statlander then wipes out Bayne with a discus lariat. Bayne and Statlander trade strikes.
Statlander sends Bayne to the outside. Ford bounces Statlander off the top rope. Cameron spikes Bayne with a DDT on the outside. Ford leaps into the ring, but Statlander catches her. Statlander cinches in a head scissor submission. Ford taps.
Winners: Kris Statlander
After the match, Bayne yanks Cameron off the apron. Bayne and Statlander then trade strikes, with Statlander rocking Bayne with a kick. Willow Nightingale comes into the ring, prompting Bayne to roll out of the ring to safety. Nightingale stands tall with Statlander and Cameron.
We Hear From Mercedes Mone
Renee Paquette introduces Mone, who comes to the ring filled with her nine championship belts. Mone says she is the greatest of all time and a history maker. Mone says she is going to smash Ultimo Dragon’s record of 10 title belts at once. Mone warns anyone with a title belt that she is coming for them next. Paquette calls out Mone for not mentioning Alex Windsor. Mone says she didn’t tap out to Windsor at Forbidden Door; she was just swatting a bug away. Mone thinks Windsor is jealous that she is a better RevPro Champion. Mone says she doesn’t care about Windsor, but is willing to beat her senseless if Windsor wants to ride the Mone Train again. Mone calls for her music to hit so she can dance.
Backstage, Mark Briscoe calls out Kyle Fletcher to a TNT Championship match.
Brodido (Bandido & Brody King) & JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) vs. The Don Callis Family (Hechicero, Josh Alexander, Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita) (w/ Don Callis & Wardlow)
Hechicero runs over Bandido. They trade roll up attempts. Bandido lands a hurricanrana, then an arm drag. Hechicero knees Bandido in the jaw. King chops both Takeshita and Alexander. King then crushes them with a senton. Knight and Bailey deliver a hip toss on Alexander. They follow with dropkick. Bailey chops Alexander against the ropes. Okada grabs Bailey’s foot, allowing Alexander to strike Bailey. King clotheslines Okada and Takeshita. He then leaps off the apron with a cannonball. Bandido, Knight, and Bailey wipe out their opponents with dives to the outside.
Back from break, Knight dropkicks Takeshita and Alexander. King wipes out Hechicero and Alexander with lariats. He nails Okada with a spinning slam. Alexander suplexes King across the ring. Bailey thrust kicks Alexander. Takeshita drops Bailey into the mat with a powerbomb. Knight spikes Takeshita with a DDT. Okada drops Knight with a flapjack. Bandido suplexes Okada. Hechicero delivers a backbreaker to Bandido. King reaches his feet and lands a rolling elbow on Hechicero. They wipe each other out with clotheslines. Bailey tags in and rocks Takeshita with a kick. Takeshita connects with an elbow. Bailey lands a standing moonsault, though DCF interrupt his pinfall attempt.
Takeshita crushes Bailey in the corner, then follows up with a lariat. Takeshita and Okada shove each other. King drags Takeshita to the outside. King takes down Okada with a lariat. Hechicero dropkicks King to the outside. Takeshita wipes put King and Bandido with a dive. Knight leaps off the top rope with a flying elbow on Okada. Bailey lands a high kick on Alexander in the corner. Bailey leaps off the top rope, but misses a Shooting Star Press. Alexander rolls up Bailey for the win.

We Hear From Adam Page
Page thanks Will Ospreay for everything he’s done for AEW and him. He adds that everyone will miss Ospreay. Page says he hopes Ospreay comes back and challenges him for the AEW World Champion. Page shifts his attention to Forbidden Door. He says MJF did everything there and still lost. Page says if MJF ever signs his title match contract, he will beat MJF’s ass. Don Callis comes back out. Callis says he wants the world title back in the Don Callis Family. Callis says there’s a whole locker room that want to face him. Callis says it’s a matter of which member of his faction will take the title from him.
Members of the DCF surround the ring. Page leaps onto Alexander, but gets taken down by the numbers of Lance Archer, Hechicero, and Rocky Romero. Knight and Bailey return to even the odds. Romero punches Bailey in the ribs. Alexander kicks Knight in another corner. Kenny Omega comes out and levels Hechicero on the entrance tamp. He then drops Alexander and Romero with snapdragon suplexes. Omega hits Archer with a baton. Omega follows with an enziguiri. Knight and Bailey leap onto the other members on the outside. Page and Omega finish off Archer with a V-Trigger-Buckshot combo.
AEW World Trios Titles: The Opps (Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs & Samoa Joe) (c) vs. Gates Of Agony (Bishop Kaun & Toa Liona) & Ricochet
Ricochet lays in elbow and chops on Hobbs. Hobbs rocks Ricochet with a big right hand, then a spinebuster. Kaun tags in and meets a shoulder tackle from Hobbs. Shibata and Kaun trade strikes. Shibata rains down right hands in the corner. He follows up with a dropkick on Kaun. Kaun responds with a back elbow. Ricochet knees Shibata in the back. Kaun dumps Shibata to the outside. Ricochet stomps away at him.
Back from break, Shibata rocks Ricochet with a knee. Kaun tags in and chops Shibata. Shibata sweeps Kaun off his feet. Hobbs tags in clotheslines Ricochet and Kaun. Liona and Hobbs exchange blows. Hobbs crushes Liona in the corner with lariats. Both men are down. Joe and Ricochet tag in. Joe drops Ricochet with a scoop slam. He follows with a senton for a two count. Kaun dropkicks Joe. Liona runs over Joe with a shoulder tackle, then Hobbs. Shibata kicks Liona in the back. Kaun elbows Shibata to the outside. Joe drops Kaun to the mat. Ricochet connects with a springboard dropkick and a running shooting star press.
The referee is distracted, allowing MVP to strike Ricochet with his walking stick. Hobbs nails Ricochet with a spinebuster. Shibata follows with a knee. Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch. Ricochet fades.
Winners: The Opps
After the match, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley brawl with Liona and Kaun.
Falls Count Anywhere: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Darby Allin
Claudio and Allin began brawling backstage. Claudio launches Allin into a storage container, then a pile of chairs. Claudio sets up a TV on a chair and slams Allin into it. Claudio drags Allin inside. Claudio swings Allin into the barricade. Allin dives onto Claudio through the ring ropes. He then dropkicks Claudio into the barricade. Allin climbs a support beam and leaps onto Claudio with a Coffin Drop for a two count.
The action returns to the ring. Claudio rocks Allin with an uppercut. Claudio launches Allin over the announce table for a near fall. Claudio drives Allin into the announce table top. He then retrieves chairs from under the ring and sets up a table in the corner. Allin slaps Claudio. Claudio rocks him with an elbow in return.
Claudio charges toward Allin for an uppercut, but Allin sidesteps. Claudio crashes through a table. Allin slams a chair into Claudio’s back. Allin goes up top. Claudio rocks him with an uppercut and a chair shot. Claudio sends Allin crashing into a stack of chairs, then into a table for a near fall. Allin lands a double stomp on Claudio. Allin then rolls him up for a two count. He drives Claudio into the exposed turnbuckle. Allin follows with a Code Red for a near fall. Allin nails Claudio with a pair of Coffin Drops for the win.
Winner: Darby Allin
After the match, Gabe Kidd suplexes Allin. Jon Moxley slides into the ring, as does Marina Shafir. Allin rains down right hands on Moxley, but Kidd pulls him off. Allin shoves Kidd into Moxley, then retreats through the crowd.
