AEW Dynamite September 3, 2025: TBS Title Match, All-Star Tag Main Event

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite emanates from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! We break it all down in this week’s AEW Dynamite recap!

Gabe Kidd & Darby Allin Brawl

Darby Allin and Gabe Kidd kick off the show with a brawl in the ring. Allin jumps Kidd from behind, but Kidd rams him into the corner of the ring. Kidd takes off the turnbuckle pad. Allin yanks Kidd’s arm into it, then rains down with right hands. Kidd kicks Allin away and tosses him into the barricade. Kidd takes down Allin with a lariat next. Allin lands a Coffin Drop on Kidd, then rolls him into the ring. Kidd cinches in a choke hold, but Allin breaks free. Allin knocks Wheeler Yuta off the apron, then drops himself onto Kidd. Allin reveals a spiked skateboard and hits Yuta with it.

Claudio Castagnoli, Jon Moxley, and Marina Shafir surround the ring. The lights flicker off and on, revealing Hook. Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs run past Hook and go after the Death Riders. Willow Nightingale trades strikes with Shafir, while Hobbs fights Moxley. Joe slams Claudio against the ring steps. Claudio bounces Joe off the barricade. Backstage, Kid chokes Allin on top of a crate. Kidd then grabs a hammer and swings it at Allin, but Allin rolls out of the way. Allin cinches in a choke hold, then rolls Kidd into a body bag. Allin attaches the bag to a chain that attached to a truck. Allin drives the truck away.

TBS Title: Mercedes Mone (c) vs. Alex Windsor

Windsor blocks a hurricanrana and looks for a Sharpshooter. Mone escapes. Windsor chops Mone in the corner. Windsor and Mone trade arm drags. Mone sends Windsor spinning with a hurricanrana. She then locks in a crossface before releasing it. Windsor dodges a meteora from Mone off the apron. She then wipes out Mone with a cannonball. Windsor leaps off the top with a clothesline in the ring. Mone kicks away Windsor, then sends her through the ropes.

Mone misses a baseball slide. Windsor slams her knees against the apron, then locks in a Sharpshooter. Mone rocks her with a kick, then slams her onto the edge of the apron.

Back from break, Windsor drops Mone with a Russian leg sweep, then a lariat. Mone kicks Windsor away again. Windsor still hits a Blue Thunder Bomb. She locks in another Sharpshooter. Mone pulls Windsor’s hair and cinches in the Statement Maker. Windsor rolls out of it. Mone rolls her up for a two count. She follows with a backstabber. Mone runs the ropes, but gets caught in a powerbomb from Windsor.

Windsor applies another Sharpshooter. Mone reverses and rolls herself and Windsor to the outside. Windsor stretches out Mone’s ankles, then transitions to a half crab. They return to the ring to avoid a countout. Windsor leaps off the top, but gets caught. Mone transitions to the Statement Maker, then a backstabber. Windsor bounces back with a lariat. Windsor and Mone trade strikes. Windsor headbutts Mone, then drives Mone into the mat. Mone rolls into another Statement Maker. Windsor tries to crawl to the ropes to break it, but Mone rolls back to the center. Windsor covers Mone for a near count. Mone responds with a roll up of her own for the win.

Winner (And Still): Mercedes Mone

After the match, Mone applies another Statement Maker. Riho runs through the crowd, then leaps off the top to wipe out Mone. Riho follows with a dropkick that sends Mone out of the ring.

Backstage, Hook says he doesn’t need Samoa Joe or Powerhouse Hobbs to fight his battles. He can fight his own. Hook also cites issue with Joe replacing him with Hobbs. Joe says Hook wasn’t ready to compete at that time, whereas Hobbs was. Joe says he made the call, but Hook needs to know that he will need The Opps’ help and they will be there.

Elsewhere, Ricochet says his issues with the Hurt Syndicate predate AEW. Ricochet says his issue is personal, whereas The Hurt Syndicate is focused on business. GOA say all they have left are their legacies, but soon GOA and Ricochet will end their legacy. Ricochet proclaims them as the future of AEW. He then challenges The Hurt Syndicate to a match at AEW All Out.

We Hear From Mark Briscoe

Briscoe recalls falling in love with wrestling alongside his brother in the 2300 Arena. Briscoe says his current focus is on the TNT Championship held by Kyle Fletcher. Briscoe says he had to talk to Don Callis about that possibility. Briscoe reveals that he has to beat another Don Callis Family if he wants to get his title match. Callis emerges with Rocky Romero and Lance Archer. Callis introduces Konosuke Takeshita as Briscoe’s opponent for AEW Collision. Takeshita stares off with Briscoe in the ring. Callis says Briscoe better save it for Saturday. Briscoe says he’s ready to fight and invites another DCF member to battle him. Archer steps up to the challenge.

Mark Briscoe vs. Lance Archer

Briscoe and Archer trade strikes. Briscoe rocks Archer with an enziguiri, then a dropkick through the ropes. Briscoe takes flight, but gets caught and slammed onto the apron. Archer covers him for a two count. Archer chokeslams Briscoe onto the steel steps.

Back from break, Briscoe wipes out Archer with a cannonball to the outside. The action returns to the ring, with Archer rocking Briscoe with a big boot. Archer then launches Briscoe into the turnbuckle. Archer chokeslams Briscoe for a near fall. Briscoe missile dropkicks Archer to the mat. Briscoe picks him up and lays in elbow strikes. Briscoe lands a series of uppercuts next. Archer meets Briscoe up top. Briscoe flips Archer down, then goes back up top. Briscoe lands a Froggy Bow for the win.

Winner: Mark Briscoe

Backstage, Toni Storm invites the women in the locker room to step up to her.

Elsewhere, Harley Cameron says she and Kris Statlander are headed to the top. She then jokes about facing Brodido. Statlander insists they stick with the Triangle of Madness and Megan Bayne/Penelope Ford. Wheeler Yuta approaches and says the Death Riders have Statlander’s back. Statlander says she gets the message.

AEW Tag Team Titles: Brodido (Bandido & Brody King) (c) vs. The Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta)

Bandido and Yuta lock up, then trade leg locks. Bandido slaps Yuta. Yuta whips him into the corner. Bandido bounces back with a hurricanrana and a dropkick. Claudio tags in, as does King. King and Claudio charge toward each other. King and Claudio trade chops. Claudio looks for a swing, but King kicks him away and connects with a rolling elbow. King slams Bandido onto Claudio, then follows with a senton. Bandido drops Claudio with a vertical suplex. Claudio drops Bandido with a backbreaker, then throws him to the outside. Yuta lays in elbows on Bandido.

Back from break, King chops both Yuta and Claudio. King splashes Yuta in the corner, then crushes both of his opponents in another. He follows with a cannonball. He covers Claudio for a two count. King and Bandido kick Claudio at the same time. King crossbodys Claudio in the corner. Bandido leaps off the top, but Claudio rolls out of the way. Yuta tags in and gets driven into the corner. King positions him on the top rope, then suplexes Yuta off of it. Bandido lines up, but Shafir grabs his leg. Claudio uppercuts Bandido, then does the same to King.

Shafir distracts the referee, allowing Jon Moxley to ram King into the steel ring post. Claudio launches Yuta onto Bandido for a near fall. Claudio tosses King back to the outside. Moxley kicks King. Allin attacks Moxley from behind. King rocks Claudio with an elbow, then Yuta. Bandido suplexes Yuta into a cover for the win.

Winners (And Still): Bandido & Brody King

Backstage, MVP says Ricochet is now a pathetic kissass and a whining hater. MVP warns the Gates of Agony to not let Ricochet turn their careers into a punch line. MVP says The Hurt Syndicate command respect. He accepts Ricochet’s challenge for a trios match.

Adam Copeland & Christian Cage Brawl With FTR

Copeland head to the ring, but gets ambushed by FTR. Cage rushes down and goes after Dax Harwood. Copeland brawls with Cash Wheeler. Security try to separate them, but to no avail. Cage continues to brawl with Harwood. Wheeler bounces Copeland off the apron. Cage punches Wheeler. More officials come out to separate them. Harwood is busted open. He and Wheeler piledriver an extra into the mat. Adam Priest throws some punches at FTR.

Backstage, FTR tells Priest to get a tag team partner for a match on Collision.

Adam Page, JetSpeed (Kevin Knight & Mike Bailey) & Kenny Omega vs. The Don Callis Family (Josh Alexander & Kyle Fletcher) & The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson)

Page and Alexander lock up. Page runs over Alexander with a shoulder tackle. Fletcher kicks Page as he bounces off the ropes. Page boots Alexander in the face. Fletcher and Omega brawl. All competitors enter the ring and brawl with each other. Page’s team dive onto their opponents to the outside. Page and Omega take turns chopping Alexander.

Back from break, Bailey lands a standing shooting star press on Alexander. Alexander responds with an elbow and a German suplex. Nick tags in and lands a rising knee strike on Bailey in the corner. Bailey dropkicks Nick. Knight clotheslines Nick to the mat, then scoop slams him. Nick tags in Matt, who eats a boot from Knight. Matt hits a Northern Lights Suplex. Knight spikes Matt with a DDT. Page tags in and clotheslines Matt. Page tosses Matt across the ring, then knocks Alexander off the apron. Matt sends Page flying a hurricanrana. At the same time, Nick nails Page with a kick. Fletcher tags in, as does Omega.

Omega and Page double team Fletcher. Alexander yanks Page off the apron. Fletcher elbows Omega, then wipes out Page with a dive through the ropes. Page delivers a pop-up powerbomb to Fletcher. Bailey kicks Alexander in the face, then lands double knees. Alexander suplexes Bailey. Bailey goes for a flipping knee strike, but misses and collides with the apron. Alexander knocks him off of it. Knight wipes out Alexander with a crossbody. Nick superkicks Bailey. Nick helps Fletcher piledrive Knight in the ring. Matt then spikes Bailey with a piledriver with Nick’s help.

Back from another break, Bailey spikes Alexander with a poisonrana. Omega tags in and trades strikes with Fletcher. Fletcher boots Omega in the face. Omega responds with a knee. Omega nails Fletcher and Alexander with snapdragon suplexes. Matt and Nick stare off with Omega. Page tags in. The four men trade punches. Page delivers a sliding lariat to Matt. Nick roundhouse kicks Page. Page responds with a Rainmaker. Matt accidently hits Nick, allowing Page take down Matt with a lariat. Omega nails Matt with a V-Trigger. Page looks for a Buckshot Lariat, but Nick yanks Matt out of the way. Matt and Nick superkick Omega and Page. Omega and Page respond with double clotheslines.

Fletcher and Page trade strikes. Fletcher piledrives Page into the mat for a near fall. Knight tags in and rolls up Fletcher for a near fall. Knight dropkicks Fletcher. Bailey wipes out Nick with a moonsault off the apron. Bailey superkicks Matt. Fletcher kicks Bailey next. Knight spikes Fletcher with a DDT. Fletcher dodges a splash from Knight by getting his knees up. Fletcher lands a running kick. Bailey reverse hurricanranas Fletcher off the top. Maty and Nick superkick Bailey, then Omega and Page. Knight greets Knight with an elbow. Nick wipes out Omega and Page with a dive to the outside. Alexander spikes Knight into the mat with a piledriver. Fletcher drops him with brainbuster for the win.

Winners: The Don Callis Family & The Young Bucks

After the match, all eight men are brawling. Rocky Romero and Lance Archer join in to aid the Don Callis Family. Omega is tossed outside the ring. Fletcher drops Page onto a chair. Omega fires back at Romero, Archer, and Alexander. Fletcher hits Omega with a chair in the midsection. Fletcher drops Omega through a table.
