We Hear From Eddie Kingston and Samoa Joe
Joe tells Tony Schiavone to leave the ring. Joe says there’s some situations to address with Kingston. Joe says Hook grew up with a championship legacy in his father and Joe himself. Joe says he wanted to give Hook an education, specifically what it was like on the other side. Joe says Kingston was the perfect man to show Hook that. Joe says Kingston will fight his ass off next week in an attempt to capture the AEW World Championship, but he will not cross the finish line. Joe says it will be because he chokes Kingston out.
Kingston can’t get over the fact that Joe, who saved the indies and went to war with Homicide, is talking about jets and luxuries. Kingston accuses Joe of selling his soul. Kingston says he screams because it gets stuff done. He adds that he doesn’t respect the version of Joe standing before him, but he respects the old version. Kingston claims that Joe has become like the guys he used to hate. Kingston says if Joe doesn’t bring his past self to Winter Is Coming, he will eat Joe alive.
Backstage, Powerhouse Hobbs says if The Dark Order can get past them tonight, they will get a shot at the AEW Trios Championships.
Continental Classic Gold League: PAC vs. Kazuchika Okada
Pac and Okada exchange strikes. Pac levels Okada with a dropkick to his lower leg. Pac goes up top and descends with a dropkick. Pac runs the ropes. Okada moves out of the way, anticipating a lariat. Okada rams Pac into the barricade on the outside. Okada lays in forearms in the corner, then follows with an axe handle. Pac answers with a boot and a stomp to Okada’s head.
Back from break, Pac counters a rainmaker into a roll-up. Okada kicks out and meets a boot. Pac follows with a pair of kicks in the corner. Pac German suplexes Okada across the ring. He lands another one into a bridging near fall. Okada plants Pac with a piledriver. Pac and Okada go up top, with Pac descending with an avalanche brainbuster. Pac runs the ropes and connects with his own Rainmaker. Okada surprises him with a roll-up for the win.
Winner: Kazuchika Okada
Backstage, Mark Briscoe says Daniel Garcia was the real deal, but now things have changed. Briscoe claims that Garcia is falling into a death spiral with the Death Riders. Briscoe announces that he will defend the TNT Title against him at Winter Is Coming.
Elsewhere, Briscoe points out someone between Roderick Strong and Orange Cassidy will take home a win for The Conglomeration in the Continental Classic. Strong says he is not part of the faction, then adds that he will beat Cassidy.
Continental Classic Gold League: Kyle Fletcher vs. Kevin Knight
Fletcher and Knight lock up. Fletcher cinches in an headlock. Knight breaks free, only to get slammed to the mat. Knight sweeps Fletcher off his feet, then walks over him. Knight delivers a pair of arm drags. Fletcher evades the dropkick that Knight attempts next. Knight dumps Fletcher to the outside. Fletcher knocks Knight off the apron with a knee. Knight lands a lariat, then a flying elbow in return.
Back from break, Knight spikes Fletcher with a DDT on the apron. Knight goes up top. Fletcher trips him up. Knight reaches his feet and fires off stomps. As Fletcher hangs upside down, Knight connects with a coast to coast dropkick. Knight follows with a splash. Fletcher plants Knight with a Liger Bomb for a near fall. Knight rolls up Fletcher for a near fall of his own. Fletcher blasts him with a superkick, then a brainbuster for the win.
Winner: Kyle Fletcher
After the match, Don Callis says he has something important to say to The Young Bucks. Callis says he can forgive lying, cheating, and killing, but what he can’t forgive is siding with Kenny Omega. Callis dares The Young Bucks to come into the ring and take their money back from DCF. Matt and Nick Jackson run down to the ring and blast Josh Alexander, Hechicero, and Fletcher with superkicks. They follow with a BTE Trigger to Fletcher. Okada sneaks up from behind and drops Matt with a Rainmaker. He then flips off Nick. Alexander attacks Nick from behind. They all beat down on Matt and Nick.
Jungle Boy and Luchasaurus run down to even the odds. Perry wipes out Alexander and Hechicero with a dive. Okada low blows Luchasaurus. Perry bites Okada’s finger until El Clon and Mark Davis hit him from behind. Callis gouges Nick’s eye. Kenny Omega finally runs down and levels Davis and Alexander. Omega drops Okada with a snap dragon suplex.
AEW Women’s Tag Team Title Tourney Semi Final Hardcore Holiday Death Match: Marina Shafir & Megan Bayne vs. Timeless Love Bombs (Mina Shirakawa & Toni Storm)
Shirakawa and Storm deliver double Thesz Presses, then fire off right hands. Storm spikes Shafir with a DDT. Shirakawa does the same to Bayne. Storm cracks a bottle over Shafir’s head. She then stabs Bayne with the broken end in the forehead. Shirakawa hits Bayne with a barbed wire-wrapped candy cane. Shirakawa follows with a sling blade. Shafir is busted open.
Storm slams Shirakawa onto Bayne. Bayne answers with a double suplex. Shafir drops Storm on the apron with a head scissors. Shirakawa launches Shirakawa onto Storm on the outside.
Back from break, Shafir suplexes Shirakawa. Bayne spears Shirakawa through the table next. Shafir hits Storm with a chair. Storm delivers a Storm Zero to Bayne, which lands on Shafir in the process. Luther, dressed as Santa, distracts Shafir with a present. Storm suplexes Shafir, then nails her with a shoe. Storm pins Shafir for the win.
Winners: Timeless Love Bombs
Backstage, Mercedes Mone points out her accomplishments in spite of her recent loss at Full Gear. Mone says she will gladly beat Red Velvet again looking forward.
The Opps (Hook, Katsuyori Shibata & Powerhouse Hobbs) defeat The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, Evil Uno & John Silver)
Silver fires off kicks on Hook. Hook answers with a suplex. Hobbs drops Reynolds on the apron. Shibata boots Uno the outside.
Back from break, Uno spikes both Shibata and Hook with a DDT. Uno chops Hobbs next. Hobbs runs over Uno with a shoulder. He slams Uno the mat. Silver and Reynolds break up his pinfall attempt, then superkick Hobbs. Shibata and Hook put Silver and Reynolds in choke holds. Hobbs plants Uno with a spinebuster for the win.
Winners: The Opps
After the match, Adam Page arrives with a chain and nails Shibata with it. He does the same to Hobbs. Shibata blasts Page in the back of the knee. Hobbs accidently hits Shibata when Page ducks. Page strikes Hobbs with a beer bottle. Page goes for a Buck Shot Lariat, but AEW security intervene. Page fends them off and hits one of them with a lariat.
Backstage, Kyle Fletcher says the Continental Championship is staying in the Don Callis Family.
Continental Classic Blue League: Claudio Castagnoli vs. Jon Moxley
Claudio and Moxley lock up. They engage in a test of strength, with Claudio pushing Moxley down to the mat. Claudio stomps on Moxley’s chest. He fires off uppercuts in the corners next. Moxley answers with a boot. He lays in chops on Claudio against the ropes before punching him in the corner. Claudio drops Moxley with a back breaker.
Back from break, Moxley cinches in a sleeper hold. Claudio escapes and dumps Moxley to the outside. Claudio lands a leaping stomp, then lays in more uppercuts. The action returns to the ring, with Claudio delivering a lariat and a powerbomb. Moxley and Claudio trade strikes. Moxley spikes Claudio with a Paradigm Shift. Claudio answers with a running uppercut for the win.
