This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite emanates from Sacramento, California! We break it all down in this week’s Dynamite recap.
AEW Continental Title Eliminator: Jon Moxley vs. Mark Davis
Moxley and Davis lock up. Davis knocks down Moxley with a running knee. He follows with chops in the corner. Moxley answers with a series of elbows. Davis lands an elbow strike of his own. Moxley rolls to the outside. Davis follows and chops Moxley against the barricade. Moxley ducks, causing Davis’ hand to connect with the ring post. Moxley wipes him out with a dive next.
Back from break, Davis cinches in a sleeper hold. Moxley escapes and slaps Davis. Davis responds with a lariat. Moxley stomps Davis. Moxley and Davis trade three lariat attempts. Davis looks for a piledriver, but Moxley counters into the bulldog choke. Davis taps out.
Winner: Jon Moxley
We Hear From FTR
Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood head to the ring, while Stokely sits in a wheelchair. Harwood says he’s trying to understand why The Young Bucks cheap-shotted them recently. Harwood says it dawned on him that the Bucks were the best tag team in 2016, but now they are second place to FTR. Stokely says the Bucks are doing the same thing and expecting a different result, which is the definition of insanity.
Stokely recalls the Bucks trying to run Private Party out of AEW over a year ago, but now, they were shaking hands with them. Stokely calls the Bucks fake, which he hates. Stokely says the Bucks are at the top of FTR’s hate list, followed by their mothers and fathers. Matt and Nick Jackson appear behind FTR, then surprise them with superkicks. Stokely turns around to see them next, claiming that he was kidding. Matt and Nick grab the AEW Tag Team Championships. Nick suggests they challenge FTR for them at Revolution.
AEW TBS Title: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Marina Shafir vs. Megan Bayne vs. Mina Shirakawa
Bayne and Shafir go right after Shirakawa and Willow. Shirakawa gets tossed the outside, allowing Bayne and Shafir to double team Willow in the corner. Willow fights them off with big boots, then knocks them both to the outside. Willow follows with a cannonball off the apron. Shirakawa wipes out all three with a leap off the top rope. Shirakawa lands a spinning splash on Shafir in the ring. Shafir answers with chops. Willow chops both Shafir and Bayne, then crushes them both with a splash in the corner.
Back from break, Shafir slams Willow into the mat. Shirakawa spikes Shafir with a DDT. Bayne levels Shirakawa with a running lariat. Bayne wipes out her opponents with a dive through the ropes. Shafir and Bayne trade strikes on the outside. Bayne drives Shafir into the timekeeper’s table. In the ring, Willow delivers a superplex to Bayne. Shirakawa nails Willow with a dropkick off the top, then a rolling elbow. She follows with a spinning backfist. Shirakawa goes for a Figure Four, but Willow counters into a roll-up for the win.

We Hear From Adam Page & MJF
MJF says he’s not going to cut a cutesy promo. He then asserts that he hates Page’s guts, the way he wrestles, the way he looks, and the fact that the people think that Page is anywhere near MJF’s level. He also hates that the people think Page is the main character of AEW. MJF adds that he hates the fact that Page has two wins over him. MJF claims that Page is a lucky shot. He also claims that something is off about Page. He questions if Page is in his head because he had the opportunity to be the guy twice and twice he crumbled under the pressure. MJF wonders if Page captures it a third time and crumbles again, then he might consider himself a fraud. MJF says the man in front of him is not the man he faced at Revolution last year. MJF says Page is a lucky shot, but Page is now all out of bullets. MJF vows that he will end the myth that is Adam Page at Revolution 2026.
Page recalls beating MJF twice last year. He says if there is a lucky shot in the ring tonight, it is MJF, who returned to AEW with a new head of hair and a guaranteed title shot to collect the AEW World Championship amidst high tensions. Page says he hates MJF so much more than MJF hates him. Page says he hates MJF because he has never met someone more like him. Page points out MJF’s desperation for love and acceptance, which Page has also been desperate for. Page says both of them have always needed the world title as well. Page adds that he wants to end their feud for good at Revolution. Page challenges MJF to think of a stipulation for their title match. MJF asserts that it will be a normal wrestling match. Page claims that MJF is scared. Page then promises if MJF agrees to a Texas Death Match and Page loses, Page will never challenge for the world title again. MJF says he needs a week to think over it as well as a potential stipulation idea of his own
BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Clark Connors & Gabe Kidd) vs. The Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy & Tomohiro Ishii)
Connors strikes Ishii from behind. Kidd then chops Ishii in the corner. Ishii answers with chops of his own. Cassidy and Ishii take down Connors with tandem chops. Cassidy boots Connors in the corner, then bounces his head off the turnbuckle. Cassidy leaps off the top with a crossbody. Kidd drives Cassidy into the side of the ring. He follows with an exploder. Connors runs over Cassidy with a shoulder tackle next.
Back from break, Ishii turns Kidd inside out with a lariat. Connors delivers a powerslam to Ishii. Cassidy spikes Connors with a DDT, then wipes out Kidd with a suicide dive to the outside. Kidd boots Cassidy. Darby Allin appears from behind and drags Kidd into the crowd. In the ring, Ishii rocks Connors with an elbow. Cassidy follows with an Orange Punch. Ishii delivers a brainbuster for the win.
Winners: The Conglomeration
Backstage, The Don Callis Family are seen attacking the Death Riders.
The Brawling Birds (Alex Windsor & Jamie Hayter) vs. B3cca & Viva Van
Van and Windsor lock up, with the latter firing off right hands in the corner. Windsor follows with an elbow strike. Van lays in elbow strikes of her own. Hayter tags in and boots Van in the chest. She fires off right hands before snap suplexing Van. Windsor and Hayter lay in chops in Van in the corner. Van kicks Windsor away, then kicks her in the jaw. Van finally tags in B3cca.
B3cca tees off on Hayter and Windsor, then lands a double cutter. B3cca elbows Windsor in the corner. Windsor launches B3cca into Hayter. Hayter delivers a backbreaker. Windsor runs B3cca over with a lariat next. Hayter follows with an elevated lariat. Windsor pins B3cca for the win.
Winners: The Brawling Birds
Kevin Knight vs. Beast Mortos
Knight leaps off the apron with a forearm. Mortos answers with a sling blade. Knight leaps onto Mortos, wiping him out on the floor.
Back from break, Mortos dodges a DDT attempt from Knight. Knight hits a hurricanrana, then connects with the pendulum DDT. Knight goes up top and descends with a splash for the win.
Winner: Kevin Knight
Backstage, Ricochet says he is focused on getting The Demand more championship gold. The Demand confirm that they will challenge JetSpeed and Adam Page for the Trios Championships on AEW Collision.
Kenny Omega vs. Swerve Strickland (w/ Prince Nana)
Strickland and Omega lock up. Strickland knocks Omega down with a shoulder tackle, prompting Omega to slap Strickland in return. Strickland and Omega trade elbow strikes. Omega takes him down with a hurricanrana. Strickland responds with a lariat. He then slams Omega into the steel steps. Omega launches Strickland over the barricade, then wipes him out with a moonsault.
Back from break, the referee gets knocked out as Omega attempts a V-Trigger on Strickland. Another referee runs down when Strickland delivers a Swerve Stomp for a near fall. Omega dodges a House Call and lands a snap dragon suplex. He connects with a high knee and reverse hurricanrana next. Omega looks for a One Winged Angel, but Strickland breaks free. Omega rocks Strickland with another knee. Strickland answers with another House Call and Big Pressure for the win.
Winner: Swerve Strickland
After the match, Strickland fires off right hands on Omega. Strickland then wraps his chain around Omega’s neck. Strickland hangs Omega from the top rope by the chain. Omega collapses. Strickland drives Omega into a table with another Big Pressure.
