Billboard has revealed their complete list of nominations for this year’s Billboard Music Awards taking place May 20th in Las Vegas, Nevada. And Taylor Swift leads with the most nominations for a female, five.
Taylor is nominated for the following categories:
Top Artist:
Drake
Kendrick Lamar
Bruno Mars
Ed Sheeran
Taylor Swift
This one is a tough one, only because each of the artists have all had a successful year respectively with their latest albums. Taylor is the only female in this category, and broke her fair share of records with her sixth studio album, Reputation.
Top Female Artist:
Camila Cabello
Cardi B
Halsey
Demi Lovato
Taylor Swift
Demi Lovato put out a brilliant album, Tell Me You Love Me, that has gone severely underrated which is why I don’t see her winning this award. Cardi B, has recently released Invasion of Privacy, and even though she has had huge success with Bodak Yellow, her album is still fairly new, so that may go against her. Camila and Taylor both released new albums last year. Camila released her first solo album, and has recently began her tour. Versus Taylor who is way past her first album and is currently prepping for her stadium tour. Camila also had such huge success with “Havana.”
Top Billboard 200 Artist:
Drake
Kendrick Lamar
Ed Sheeran
Chris Stapleton
Taylor Swift
This one is a toss up and can go to anyone. Ed Sheehan had multiple hits from his last album, and he and Kendrick Lamar have the most nominations this year. So I can see this one going more towards one of them. However, Drake did bring it with “God’s Plan.”

Ed Sheeran ÷ (Divide)
Taylor Swift, reputation
Streaming wise, Ed Sheeran killed it with his album Divide. But none of these came as close to hitting large number as Taylor Swift’s Reputation. However, Drake does have 9 nominations for a reason and Kendrick Lamar also has 15 noms for a reason.
