This isn’t your basic copy and paste list for awards. We watched the movies, we watched the shows, we are not only sharing the noms but we are sharing our picks!
The MTV Movie and TV Awards are taking place June 18th in Santa Monica and is being hosted by comedic actress Tiffany Haddish.
Now let’s get started!
BEST MOVIE
Avengers: Infinity War
Black Panther
Girls Trip
IT
Wonder Woman
Our Pick: This is a tough category because all these movies did so great in the box office and ratings wise. Avengers: Infinity War left every single viewer in total awe. And with many opinions and theories. But who can forget Black Panther? All the success and the barriers it broke. And speaking of breaking barriers, so did Wonder Woman! Wonder Woman totally knocked the socks off of everyone and inspired millions of females around the world. And another female driven movie was Girls Trip. Girls Trip was laugh-out-loud hilarious! And sky-rocketed Tiffany Hadish’s career, I mean look at her now, she’s hosting the award show! And remember all those memes from IT? It was surely a revival of an old phenomenon. So which movie should win? We vote it will either be Wonder Woman or Avengers: Infinity War.
BEST SHOW
13 Reasons Why
Game of Thrones
grown-ish
Riverdale
Stranger Things
Our Pick: Another tough category. This is said to be the golden age of Television and each and every single one of these shows have such a strong fan base. 13 Reasons Why was the most tweeted about show. Game of Thrones has built such a strong fan base, and it’s more a reason. grown-ish is a good show but not as popular as the others. Riverdale and Stranger Things are leading the wave when it comes to the best programming out their right now. So who should take this win? We vote it will either be Riverdale or Stranger Things.
BEST PERFORMANCE IN A MOVIE
Chadwick Boseman – Black Panther
Timothée Chalamet – Call Me by Your Name
Ansel Elgort – Baby Driver
Daisy Ridley – Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Saoirse Ronan – Lady Bird
Our Pick: All of these men and women did a super job. Saoirse Ronan has seen a lot of praise for her role in Lady Bird as well as Timothee Chalamet. And of course we know what huge success Black Panther had so it’s no surprise that Chadwick Boseman would be up in the running. However, we are going to give this pick to Daisy Ridley in Star Wars. Daisy has taken this character in a very popular franchise and has won over the hearts of many. Her performance in every Star Wars film she has done has been top-notch and she has inspired women all over the world with her tough and brave character.
BEST PERFORMANCE IN A SHOW
Millie Bobby Brown – Stranger Things
Darren Criss – The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story
Katherine Langford – 13 Reasons Why

Maisie Williams – Game of Thrones
Our Pick: Millie Bobby Brown has done so well on Stranger Things she has been receiving constant praise from other celebs and she’s even making more money than her counterparts. And her “Eleven” character was seen left and right during Halloween. So we pick Millie Bobby Brown to take this win, if not we can also seen Katherine Langford taking this win for her impactful role of 13 Reasons Why.

Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) – Game of Thrones
Gal Gadot (Diana Prince/Wonder Woman) – Wonder Woman
Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash) – The Flash
Daisy Ridley (Rey) – Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Our Pick: This one is also difficult to decide on because each was a hero in their own way. And each person has a different idea of what makes the ultimate hero. This one can really be anybody, but we’re going to pick either Gal Gadot or Daisy Ridley to take this win.

Adam Driver (Kylo Ren) – Star Wars: The Last Jedi
Michael B. Jordan (N’Jadaka/Erik Killmonger) – Black Panther
Aubrey Plaza (Lenny Busker) – Legion
Bill Skarsgard (Pennywise) – IT
Our Pick: Yes, each and every single one of these villains were bad. They were mean. They were evil. But our pick for best villain on this one has to go to Thanos, Josh Brolin’s character in Avengers: Infinity War. Since the film cam out everyone has been talking about him left and right. Not only did Josh kill it as Thanos. Thanos killed us with his wickedness.
