We all know that Kylie Jenner has built an empire. From her makeup line to even her social media accounts. And now reports are drifting around the internet about how much celebrities leverage over their social media profiles. Companies like Facebook and Instagram now are required to distinguish which posts are sponsored and which ones are personal. And Kylie’s social managers D’Marie, report that Kylie earns a whopping $1 Million per post. That’s not even the biggest shocker, the previous celebrity to have that clout was Beyonce. Now you can exhale!
It makes sense to industry insights because Jenner’s demographic is heaviest on her social media platforms.
In 2016 she had the most followers on the social app, Snapchat. In 2018 when the company went through a major user interface change, one tweet posted by Kylie asking her 25.5 million Twitter followers how they felt about the app changes ended up costing Snapchat $1 Billion dollars in potential ad sales, with some reports even saying it was much more than that.
Sheesh. That’s one powerful tweet.
The entire world saw Kylie grow up on Keeping Up With The Kardashians. The show is in its 14th season and boasts a hefty 212 episodes aired to date. It aired back in 2007 after Kim Kardashian’s sex tape scandal. So it’s no surprise that her fans continue to follow her every move.
She is not just a reality TV star. She is also a mother and CEO of Kylie Cosmetics. For a 20-year-old who premiered on TV at the mere age of 10 years old, she is a cultural leader. She gained a lot of backlash from her legions of fans for not coming forward with surgeries she had on her lips and breasts. However, in an episode of KUWTK she finally, spoke candidly about changing her features with the help of her older sisters.
Kylie can literally sit and post selfies on Instagram and she would still be A-okay.
