On Sunday, April 7, 2019 at the Metlife Stadium, WWE will be making history during their biggest event of the year, Wrestlemania. For the first time ever, the main event will be a women’s match. Every year, it is every guy’s dream to be in the main event at Wrestlemania, and even though women had dreamt of it too, it felt like something that would never happen. Until, the biggest storyline on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown and the most talked about stars on the roster were these three women; Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch.

They say a lot can change in a year, and it really is true. Let’s rewind to last years Wrestlemania in New Orleans. Ronda Rousey had just only recently made her WWE debut, she was in a tag-team match with Kurt Angle going up against The Authority (Triple H and Stephanie McMahon) — this match ended up being the most exciting of the night. As for Charlotte, she ended Asuka’s winning streak and became the Smackdown’s Women Champion. Both ladies ended that night on high note. Many speculated that for this upcoming Wrestlemania, that these two women would go face to face for the title. That was until, ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch came out of nowhere and managed to outshine not just the female roster but the male roster as well with her over-the-top charisma, shades of Stone Cold Steve Austin attitude and solid wrestling matches. She was able to the get the crowd behind her every word. Therefore, rocking whatever plans may have been in store for Charlotte and Ronda.
And in recent months, all three women have been going back and fourth on Raw and Smackdown; each fighting for their chance to face Ronda Rousey, get their revenge and their title. Many fans speculated that these women were going to be the main event of the night however nothing had been confirmed yet.

But everyone wanted it and everyone knew that if ever there was a chance to have the women main event at Wrestlemania this would be it right here. They wouldn’t have earned this spot just because they are women but because they were and still are the hottest thing on both rosters.
In closing, the long anticipated announcement has been made. Ronda Rousey will be defending her Raw Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair and “The Man” Beck Lynch in a triple-threat-match as the MAIN EVENT at Wrestlemania.
Now who will come out victorious, and have their hand raised in the ultimate history making moment? You will have to tune in to watch the biggest pay-per-view event of the year, Wrestlemania, on the WWE Network.
