The WWE Universe has been raving about the NXT brand consistently for years after the continuous streak of outstanding wrestling shows. NXT is known for their stellar roster and action-packed Takeovers. The developmental brand has built major stars and a devoted fanbase that will now get to see them weekly on the USA network.
That’s right, NXT will now join the ranks of RAW and SMACKDOWN as it joins cable television. NXT will be airing every Wednesday on the USA Network live at 8/7c starting on September 18th.
The show was originally one-hour on the WWE Network and it will now be two-hours. A benefit to the unseen hidden talent for national exposure. And will still be taking place at Full Sail University in Orlando as part of WWE’s production partnership with the preeminent entertainment, media, arts and technology institution.
Not only is this major news for WWE as a company, but for the entire wrestling community. There will be more opportunity but also more competition.
All Elite Wrestling has recently been making headlines the last several months- recently selling out their upcoming TV tapings. AEW is set to also make their television debut on October 2nd, they too will be airing every Wednesday night on TNT during the same timeslot.
