Impact Wrestling’s Hard to Kill pay-per-view is taking place Saturday, January 16th and one of the matches taking place includes Deonna Purrazzo versus Taya Valkyrie for the Knockout’s Championship. Prior to the match, we had the chance to discuss the upcoming bout with the champion Deonna Purrazzo.
Deonna told us that she been preparing both physically and mentally for the match, last year she won “Knockout of the Year” and “Wrestler of the Year” at the IMPACT Year End Awards and it surely looks like she hopes to continue that momentum heading into the new year.
“To be able to defeat her {Taya Valkyrie} just kinda cements the legacy that I’ve slowly been building,” said Purrazzo.
While Purrazzo has been racking up accolades since joining IMPACT, Taya Valkyrie isn’t an easy competitor, Taya is the longest reigning Knockout’s champion in IMPACT history with a total of 377 days.
“It’s intimidating to go into the ring with someone like Taya Valkyrie, but at the end of the day I know what my strengths and weaknesses are and I know I could exploit her joints and manipulate them, I have moves in my back pocket ready to pull out If need be.”
Don’t miss Deonna Purrazzo versus Taya Valkyrie for the Knockout’s Championship this Saturday on IMPACT Wrestling’s Hard To Kill pay-per-view.
