On the eve of Summer Slam Cleveland, Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair looked to regain the Women’s tag team championship which they lost at Clash at the Castle in Scotland. Unholy Union: Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn have been doing what they can to prevent them from getting their rematch. However, this collision was inevitable as Jade and Bianca were not actually pinned to lose the titles. Leading up to their match both teams had a chance to get a word in. “Those who step up, will get stepped on…” Jade boasted in their pre-match interview.
The unholy union responded by saying all of the power is in their hands. They had a trick up their sleeve.
The match kicked off hot, as before the bell had the chance to ring, Fyre and Dawn looked to get the upper hand and attacked an unprepared Jade and Bianca. However this attempt was in vain, as the strength of Bianca and Jade overwhelmed them, leading to Unholy Union getting tossed all the way to their corner of the ring. All four competitors were throwing haymakers back and forth. The champion’s momentum was halted when the challengers lifted them high above their heads with simultaneous gorilla press slams.
The competitive match up was quickly halted when a pale woman in all black, tossed Jade into the steel steps. The Championship match has ended in disqualification. Which means Unholy Union will be leaving Cleveland still champions. The camera Panned to reveal Blair Davenport. The 3 heels attacked both Jade and Bianca leaving a trail of destruction behind.
Blair was drafted to Smackdown in May during the WWE DRAFT. Although she has had several good performances, she has yet to truly shine. Will Blair Davenport be a part of the Unholy Union going forward? We’ll have to find out on the next episode of Friday Night Smackdown!
