AEW Dynamite March 26, 2025: Women’s Tag Main Event, Omega vs. Christian, MJF Accepts MVP’s Offer

This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite emanates from Saint Paul, Minnesota! Kenny Omega takes on Blake Christian in a non-title match. Mark Briscoe battled Konosuke Takeshita. Toni Storm teams up with Thunder Rosa to face Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford. MJF accepts MVP’s business offer, and more.

We break it all down in this week’s AEW Dynamite recap!

Kenny Omega vs. Blake Christian (w/Lee Johnson)

Christian and Omega lock up. Omega executes a side headlock takedown. Christian gets back to his feet. Omega knocks him down with a shoulder tackle. Christian flips off Omega. Omega responds with a series of chops. Omega drives him into the mat. Omega rushes toward the corner, but Christian moves out of the way and lands strikes in Omega’s midsection. Christian dropkicks Omega. Christian gouges Omega’s eyes, then spears him on the apron. Christian follows up with an inverted tope suicida.

Omega hits a pair of snap dragon suplexes. Omega follows up with a neckbreaker. He finishes off Christian with a V-Trigger and the One-Winged Angel for the win.

Winner: Kenny Omega

After the match, Omega mentions his upcoming title match against Ricochet and “Speedball” Mike Bailey. This prompts the arrival of Bailey. Bailey calls Omega an inspiration. Despite that, Bailey says he won’t hold anything back at AEW Dynasty. Ricochet appears on the titantron. Ricochet says he will show everyone why he is out of this world at Dynasty. He declares himself as the new International Champion. Omega says Dynasty won’t be about making friends. Omega says when it comes to wrestling, the only that matters are his title and his legacy. Omega labels Dynasty as the stepping stone to cementing his legacy.

Backstage, Chris Jericho says it’s time for all the masks to be removed. Jericho asks Bryan Keith and Big Bill why he needs to keep asking them to prove themselves. Jericho urges them to do some self-reflection and really prove themselves. Jericho also says he wants Bandido’s mask. He challenges Bandido to an ROH title vs. mask match at Dynasty.

We Hear From MJF

MJF says he has been looking at MVP’s business card for two weeks straight. He then calls MVP to the ring so they can talk. MJF hypes up MVP, calling his new cane “gorgeous.” MJF says he’s made a decision about MJF’s card. He confirms his interest of being in the business of hurting people. MJF offers up his hand for MVP to shake. Before they can, Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley walk to the ring. Lashley offers his hand to MJF, seemingly to shake. Instead, he demands MJF hand back MVP’s business card. MVP insists that they are cool with MJF. MJF backs away, with Lashley seeming unhappy with MJF potentially working with the Hurt Syndicate.

Bryan Keith and Big Bill walk out onto the stage. Keith says they have real business to attend to. Bill says he sees Benjamin and Lashley in the ring with the tag titles, but no challengers. MVP says he’ll make Keith and Bill the b*tches of Benjamin and Lashley. Bill points out that he was once a tag team champion. Bill calls for a rematch that he never got after his former partner was pinned last year. MVP says if Bill and Keith can win a match, then they will consider granting them a tag title shot.

Backstage, Toni Storm says Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford are in for a bumpy night when they take on her and Thunder Rosa later tonight.

Brody King vs. Kyle Fletcher (w/ Don Callis)

Fletcher charges at King and stomps away at him in the corner. Fletcher flexes in celebration. King sneaks up behind him and takes him down with a chop. King delivers a series of elbow strikes. Fletcher rolls to the outside. When he returns to the ring, King slams him to the mat. King follows up with a senton. Fletcher responds with two chops. King chops him back. Fletcher stomps away at King once again. King sends Fletcher over the top rope and to the outside.

Back from break, King plants Fletcher with a spinning slam. King then drops Fletcher onto his back. King dives through the ropes and to the outside. Fletcher dives onto King as well. Fletcher goes up top and descends with an elbow drop for a near fall. Fletcher kicks King on the apron. King drops him with a Death Valley Driver.

Back from another commercial, Fletcher kicks King in the knee. He piledrivers King for a near fall. King rocks Fletcher with a lariat. He then crushes him in the corner. King looks for a cannonball on Fletcher in the corner, but Mark Davis pulls Fletcher out of the way. Meanwhile, Callis argues with the referee. Fletcher and King go up top. Davis distracts the referee this time. Fletcher kicks King and lays him out with a brainbuster for the win.

Winner: Kyle Fletcher

After the match, Davis and Fletcher begin to beat down King. Powerhouse Hobbs emerges through the crowd to make the save. He wipes out both Davis and Fletcher.

Mark Davis vs. Powerhouse Hobbs

Davis delivers a boot to Hobbs’ midsection. Hobbs slams him to the mat, then fires off elbow strikes. Hobbs drops Davis onto his back. He follows up with a powerslam. Davis rocks him with an enziguri. Hobbs responds with a spinebuster for the win.

Winner: Powerhouse Hobbs

Backstage, Nick Wayne says things are starting to make sense to him now, and he is going to make his full thoughts known to Christian Cage soon. Wayne says he properly executed a plan last week when he cost Cope his AEW World Championship match.

Elsewhere, Adam Page and Swerve Strickland argue.

Rated FTR Sit Down With Tony Schiavone

Dax Harwood says he let his emotions get the better of him last week. He apologizes. Harwood also says Copelojy took away four months of their tag team careers to try and help Cope go after the AEW World Championship. Wheeler says they all let their emotions overwhelm them recently. Wheeler says people know about his friendship with Harwood, but maybe not as much as Cope’s. Wheeler says without either of them, he doesn’t have what he has now. Harwood apologizes again, but also suggests he and Wheeler go after the AEW Tag Team Championships. Wheeler suggests they pursue the AEW Trios Championships instead.

We Hear From Swerve Strickland

Strickland calls out AEW World Champion Jon Moxley. Strickland asks Moxley what happened to him. Strickland says Moxley used to be revered, but now he hides behind the Death Riders. Strickland also says Moxley isn’t worthy of being champion. Strickland adds that everything Moxley used to describe himself as is looking at him right now. Claudio Castagnoli appears behind Prince Nana at ringside. Moxley says they’re just chilling for now.

Moxley tells Strickland to stop worrying about him, and worry more about himself. Moxley says he had high hopes for Strickland, but he has been disappointed before. Moxley will give Strickland a chance to be everything he says he will be, but it will be a test. Moxley says Strickland will suffer at Dynasty. Moxley says he’s willing to go the whole way right now, and it shouldn’t be a problem for Strickland. Marina Shafir and Willow Nightingale appear on the apron with a crowbar and lead pipe, respectively.

Strickland says he came prepared. He further says he is the most dangerous man in AEW. Strickland says he will be the new champ come April 6, while Moxley continues to play himself on TV. Shafir jumps down from the apron. Moxley and Claudio retreat through the crowd. Shafir lays in strikes on Nightingale. Nightingale fires back. Claudio and Prince Nana separate them.

Backstage, Samoa Joe chokes out Max Caster.

Elsewhere, Jay White declares himself for the Owen Hart Foundation tournament.

Darius & Dante Martin vs. Alex Findley & Devo Knight

Darius and Findley lock up. Dante tags in and nails Findley with a back elbow. Darius tags back in to deliver flatliner on Findley through the middle rope. Dante tags in again. Darius lands a Fallaway Slam on Findley. Dante then ascends the ropes and hits a Frog Splash, securing the win.

Winners: Top Flight

Mark Briscoe vs. Konosuke Takeshita (w/ Don Callis)

Takeshita drops Briscoe with a shoulder tackle. Briscoe rocks him with an uppercut and an enziguri. He lands another uppercut, then rolls through a Death Valley Driver. Takeshita fires back with an elbow strike. Takeshita drops Briscoe with a superplex for a near fall. He then chokes him against the ropes. Takeshita delivers another elbow strike. Briscoe responds with one of his own. He then sends Takeshita to the floor. Takeshita returns with a big boot to Briscoe’s face. Takeshita spikes Briscoe with a DDT on the apron.

Back from break, Briscoe uppercuts Takeshita in the corner. Briscoe levels Takeshita with a dive to the floor. Takeshita dodges an elbow drop from Briscoe, but Briscoe quickly responds with lariat. Callis slams his hands against the apron. Takeshita and Briscoe trade strikes. Briscoe nails Takeshita with a series of exploders. Takeshita rocks Briscoe with a running knee. Briscoe drops Takeshita with a Jay Driller. Takeshita gets his foot on the bottom rope when Briscoe covers him. Briscoe sets Takeshita up on the turnbuckle. Takeshita connects with a rolling elbow strike and Raging Fire for the win.

Winner: Konosuke Takeshita

Backstage, the Death Riders accept the Rated FTR’s challenge for an AEW Trios Championship match at Dynasty.

Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford vs. Thunder Rosa & Toni Storm

Rosa and Bayne lock up, Bayne slams Rosa to the mat. Rosa tags in Storm. Bayne tags in Ford. Ford and Storm lock up, with former dropping the latter with a shoulder tackle. Ford lands an arm drag. Storm responds with a German suplex, Rosa tags in. She and Storm double team Ford. Storm covers Ford, but she kicks out.

Back from break, Bayne connects with a lariat on Rosa. Ford knocks Storm off the apron, then licks Storm in the corner. Storm reaches her feet again, cheering on Rosa from the corner. Ford and Rosa trade strikes. Storm and Bayne tag in. Storm tries to clothesline Bayne, but Bayne stands tall. Storm sends Bayne over the top rope. Bayne drags her to the outside. Storm spikes Bayne with a DDT on the floor. Ford hits a cutter on Storm in the ring. Rosa plants Ford with a Death Valley Driver. Bayne drops Rosa with an F5. Storm chops Bayne, then trips her in the corner. Storm rushes in with a hip attack. Bayne stands up and accidently knocks Ford over with a pump kick. Bayne delivers an F5 on Storm for the win.

Winners: Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford
