This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite emanates from Orlando, Florida! We break it all down in this week’s Dynamite recap.
We Hear From MJF
MJF joins Tony Schiavone in the ring. MJF says we are looking at a man who wears beautiful watches, custom suits, diamond rings, a great wife, and all Burberry. He adds that he has all those things because he’s the best wrestler on the Earth, and the proof is in his AEW World Championship. MJF says the title belt costs more than the people could dream about. MJF says anyone else claiming to the be the best is lying. He says Bandido was the first in a long line of losers against him. He asserts that no one is on his level again.
Brody King’s music hits. King says the only thing he can think of is all the ways he wants to hurt MJF. King says he’s not going to do that, though, because MJF is just a b*tch. King says he wants a match against MJF so he can choke him out and take the world title tonight. MJF declines. He claims it’s not because he’s afraid of King, but because King is all bark and no bite. He also questions what King has done to earn a title match. MJF says King first needs to beat elite level talent. MJF warns that if King ever interrupts him again, they’re going to have a problem. MJF then leaves the ring as King barks at him.
Backstage, Adam Page gives advice to Mike Bailey as he prepares to take on Samoe Joe.
Mike Bailey vs. Samoa Joe
Joe fires off right hands on Bailey. Bailey returns with a series of elbows. Joe headbutts Bailey. Bailey lays in a series of kicks, then sends him to the outside with a dropkick. Joe drags Bailey to the outside, then knocks him down with a loud chop. Bailey wipes out Joe with a springboard moonsault. The Opps come down to the ringside, distracting Bailey. As Joe then distracts the referee, Katsuyori Shibata and Hook stomp away at Bailey on the outside.
Back from break, Bailey rocks Joe with a pump kick, then a knee strike. Bailey follows with a shooting star knee drop and a roundhouse kick for a near fall. Bailey lands another roundhouse kick. As Bailey goes up top, Hook hops up to the apron. Bailey elbows Hook off of it, then evades Joe charging in at home. Bailey rolls up Joe for a two count. Bailey connects with another kick, then returns to the top. As Hook distracts the referee, Shibata and Joe double team Bailey. Joe drops Bailey with Muscle Buster for the win.
Winner: Samoa Joe
Street Fight: Death Riders (Daniel Garcia, Jon Moxley & Wheeler Yuta) vs. The Don Callis Family (Hechicero, Lance Archer & Rocky Romero)
The men begin brawling on the entrance ramp. Garcia crushes Hechicero’s knee, which is placed inside a trash can. He follows with an ankle lock. Romero slams a trash can lid against Garcia’s back. Garcia returns the favor. Inside the ring, Moxley fires off punches on Archer. The Death Riders takes turns flattening Archer in the corner. Moxley and Garcia send Archer to the outside. Yuta wipes him out with a dive through the ropes. Archer chokeslams Yuta through the timekeeper’s table.
Back from break, Archer chokeslams Moxley into broken glass, tacks, and barbed wire. When he goes for a cover, Yuta and Garcia break it up. Archer tosses Yuta and Garcia to the outside, then wipes them out with a cannonball. Pac emerges onto the stage and whacks Archer with his crutches. Claudio follows up by slamming Archer into the electrical box. Marina Shafir low blows Hechicero, then rocks him with a running knee. Back in the ring, Moxley cinches in the bulldog choke on Romero. Romero rolls through, only to get planted with a piledriver by Garcia. Garcia cinches in a Sharpshooter on Romero. Moxley stomps Romero next. Romero taps.
Winners: Death Riders
After the match, Moxley tells Don Callis to tell his boy he knows where to find Moxley.
Alec Price & Jordan Oliver vs. FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) (w/Stokely)
Wheeler and Price lock up. Wheeler slams Price to the mat, then knocks him down with a pair of shoulder tackles. Price rolls up Wheeler for a two count. Wheeler chops Price in the corner. Price answers with a hip toss. Price dropkicks Harwood next. Price and Oliver wipe out FTR with dives to the outside.
Harwood fires off strikes on Oliver in the corner, then chops. Price drops Harwood with a Famouser. Oliver follows with a dropkick. Price knocks Wheeler off the apron with a dropkick. He follows up on Harwood for a two count. Harwood bounces back with a chop and a lariat to Price. He turns Price inside out with another one. Oliver and Harwood trade chops. Price drops Wheeler with a hurricanrana off the top. Price knocks Wheeler off the apron with a jumping knee. Harwood launches Oliver to the outside. Wheeler and Harwood plant Price with a Shatter Machine for the win.
Winners: FTR
Backstage, Kris Statlander lays out an opportunity for an AEW Women’s Championship eliminator match on Collision. Willow Nightingale says she will silence Julia Hart on Collision as well. Harley Cameron warns that if Skye Blue interferes, she will punch her in the face.
Josh Alexander vs. Kenny Omega
Alexander attacks Omega from behind as he makes his entrance. Alexander drive Omega into the apron, then chokes him with the ring jacket. Alexander rams Omega into the steel steps. Alexander exposes the concrete floor. Omega wipes him out with a moonsault off the barricade, then a dive to the outside. Alexander and Omega roll into the ring, where the bell finally rings. Omega fires off chops. He follows with a sling blade and a big boot. Alexander dodges the second boot, then drops Omega into the apron.
Back from break, Alexander smashes Omega’s ankle against the ring apron. He follows with a dragon screw through the ropes. Alexander lands a running crossbody that knocks Omega to the floor. When Alexander returns to the ring, Omega nails him with a V-Trigger. He lays out Alexander with another running knee for a near fall. Omega drives Alexander into the mat with a One Winged Angel for the win.
Winner: Kenny Omega
After the match, Omega says he is happy to report that he hasn’t felt this good in years. Omega says Don Callis doesn’t have one member of his stable that can beat Omega, so he advises Callis to quit while he’s ahead. Omega suggests that he can also lick his wounds and come back to Omega after his wins the world title.
Megan Bayne & Penelope Ford vs. Timeless Love Bombs (Mina Shirakawa & Toni Storm)
Bayne chops Storm in the corner. Shirakawa and Storm back with double clotheslines. Storm and Shirakawa take turns kicking Bayne. Storm slams Shirakawa onto Bayne. Storm dropkicks Bayne. Shirakawa follows with a spinning senton. Bayne clotheslines Shirakawa, then delivers a fallaway slam to Storm. Bayne launches Shirakawa into Storm.
Back from break, Shirakawa nails Ford with a rolling elbow. Bayne levels Shirakawa with a right hand. Storm spikes Bayne with a DDT. Ford lands a stunner on Storm. Shirakawa rocks Ford with a spinning backfist. Shirakawa sets up for a Figure Four leg lock on Ford, but Bayne charges at her to break it up. Bayne and Ford wipe out Shirakawa with a Doomsday Device for the win.

After the match, Marina Shafir locks in Mother’s Milk on Storm on the floor.
Kevin Knight vs. Swerve Strickland
Knight takes down Strickland with an arm drag. Strickland escapes and gets sent to the outside. Knight wipes out Strickland with a crossbody. Knight follows with a Frog Splash. Strickland answers with a chop that knocks Knight to the floor. Knight drops Strickland back-first onto the same floor. Knight connects with a leaping dropkick off the apron.
Back from break, Knight lands a Frog Splash. Strickland gets his foot on the rope to break the pinfall attempt that follows. Knight rocks Strickland with a House Call. Strickland kicks Knight in the midsection, then rocks him with a knee. Strickland and Knight trade pump kicks. Strickland bounces back with a House Call. He drops Knight with a verte-breaker and a Big Pressure for the win. MJF looks on from the stands.
