Well, more so the character is being called The Clown Face of Crime aka Arthur Fleck. Director Todd Phillips shared a teaser from a screen test as the production is ramping up for the DC flick slated for a October 2019 release. It also stars Deadpool 2’s Zazie Beetz, who was also shared by her director via social media but has been super tight lipped about details regarding the set.
DC has said this film will be unlike the other superhero storyline’s such as Wonder Woman and Aquaman where we find The Joker as a stand alone character in Gotham. It is the character’s backstory that drives him to become Gotham’s super-villain and inevitably The Dark Knight’s nemesis The film also stars Robert De Niro.
