The Young Bucks are set to return to Japan.
During today’s NJPW King of Pro Wrestling event in Tokyo, a video aired featuring Matthew and Nicholas Jackson announcing they will appear at NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at The Tokyo Dome.
This marks the first time the Young Bucks will compete for NJPW outside of AEW’s joint Forbidden Door events since their appearance at Wrestle Kingdom 13 on January 4, 2019, which took place just three days after the brothers helped announce the formation of All Elite Wrestling.
AEW Wrestle Dynasty takes place the night after Wrestle Kingdom. The show will feature talent from AEW, NJPW, ROH, CMLL, and Stardom.
The Bucks were with NJPW from 2013 to 2019 and won the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships a record seven times. They also won the Heavyweight Tag Team titles once. The Bucks played a key role in Bullet Club as well, joining the faction just months after it formed in 2013 and winning the Super Junior Tag Tournament that November.
