This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite emanates from the Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, Utah! Mark Briscoe defends the ROH World Championship against Chris Jericho in Ladder War. Kamille faces Queen Aminata. The Elite square off with Daniel Garcia and Private Party. Kyle Fletcher addresses his betrayal of Will Ospreay, and more!

We Hear From “Hangman” Adam Page
Adam Page joins Tony Schiavone in the ring. Page says last week he took Jay White’s head off, and before that he nearly took Juice Robinson’s life. Page says he also took out Austin Gunn. From behind, Colten Gunn lunges at Page and levels him with a lariat. Colten charges at Page on the outside, but Page ducks. Colten flies over the barricade. Page rolls Colten back into the ring and lays him out. Page takes off his belt and prepares to choke Colten, but Jay White and Juice Robinson rush down to save him. White takes down Page and rains down with his fists. Page escapes and retreats up the ramp.
White grabs a mic and reminds Page that he can’t hide from him. White tells Page he will never be able to measure up to him and references his perfect record against Page. White tells Page to ice his leg, as he’ll be waiting for him when he’s healthy again.
Sammy Guevara vs. Shelton Benjamin (w/ MVP)
Guevara and Benjamin lock up. Ben sends Guevara flying up and onto the mat before whipping Guevara into the turnbuckle. Guevara chops Benjamin, but Benjamin shuts it down with kicks to the midsection. Benjamin looks for a vertical suplex, but Guevera escapes and connects with a dropkick. Benjamin charges at Guevera, who ducks, and sends him flying over the top rope. Guevara follows up with a springboard moonsault to the outside. He then looks for a dive, but Benjamin catches him and hits a Belly-to-Belly suplex.
Back from break, Benjamin lands a pair of German Suplexes. Guevara clutches the back of his head as Benjamin taunts him. Guevara catches Benjamin in a roll-up for a near fall then connects with a trio of superkicks. Guevara follows up with a jumping knee strike that knocks Benjamin off the apron. Guevara flies onto him on the outside. Back in the ring, Guevara hits a cutter for a one count. MVP tells Benjamin to get his head back in the game.
Guevera looks for a springboard splash, but Benjamin catches him with a big kick. Benjamin hits another kick, then a step-up knee in the corner. Benjamin finishes off Guevara with an exploder-powerslam.
Winner: Shelton Benjamin
Backstage, Renee Paquette looks to speak with AEW Women’s Champion Mariah May. May emerges with a suitcase and chucks it cross the hall. May says Anna Jay doesn’t belong in the same locker room as her. Jay comes out of nowhere and hits May. The two are separated by Christopher Daniels.
Kyle Fletcher Speaks (w/ Don Callis)
Kyle Fletchers heads to the ring accompanied by Don Callis. Fletcher says the people can boo him all they want, but the only person he is here to talk to is Will Ospreay. Fletcher recalls taking out Ospreay at AEW WrestleDream. Fletcher also says Ospreay is still in the hospital with a herniated disc. Fletcher says the fans are as much to blame for his betrayal as Ospreay is. Fletcher recalls being labeled the next big thing in AEW, but then Ospreay arrived.
Fletcher says he was then labeled as the next Will Ospreay, which he took as an insult. Fletcher believes he is better than Ospreay in every single way. Fletcher says he saw a pattern with Ospreay, beginning with him turning on Kazuchika Okada. Fletcher also recalls Ospreay hitting Kenny Omega with a screwdriver. Fletcher wanted to strike before Ospreay could repeat the pattern on him next. Fletcher says Ospreay never wanted to him reach his full potential, because he’d surpass him. Fletcher calls Ospreay selfish. Fletcher calls out Ospreay for a match next week. He finishes off by saying he is nothing like him Ospreay, before shaving off chunks of his blonde hair.
Backstage, Ricochet calls out International Champion Konosuke Takeshita for a meeting on AEW Rampage. He is then approached by MVP, who hands him his business card.
Brian Cage & Lance Archer vs. Ā The Pillars Of DestinyĀ (Hunter GreyĀ &Ā Parviz)
Archer lays in with several right hands and charges into the corner. The challenger sidesteps, while his partner clotheslines Archer in the corner. Cage connects with a spinebuster on one man before hitting a German Suplex on the other. Archer sends one over the top rope. He and Cage follows up with a double chokeslam for the win.
Winners: Brian Cage & Lance Archer
Outside, Chuck Taylor encourages Orange Cassidy to step up to new Blackpool Combat Club and points out that Cassidy has already beaten their leader, Jon Moxley.
ROH World Championship Ladder War: Mark Briscoe (c) vs. Chris Jericho
Briscoe brings a ladder and rains down with punches on Jericho. Briscoe runs Jericho face-first into the ring posts before sending him crashing through a pair of tables on the outside. Briscoe chops Jericho and retrieves the ladder. Briscoe looks for a suplex onto the ladder, but Jericho reverses it with a suplex of his own. Jericho and Briscoe trade strikes. Jericho slams a broken table piece into Briscoe. Jericho and Briscoe fight over the ladder, which results in Jericho eating the ladder via his chin. Briscoe positions Jericho onto a ladder and charges toward him. Jericho, however, rolls off it. Briscoe crashes onto it back-first. Jericho attempts to climb the in-ring ladder. Briscoe pulls him off of it, only to meet a ladder to the face.
Back from break, Jericho scales the ladder again. Briscoe hits him in the leg then sends him crashing into another ladder with a Death Valley Driver. Briscoe places another ladder on top of Jericho, which Jericho uses as a weapon against Briscoe. Jericho climbs the ladder in the corner. Briscoe pushes that ladder backwards and connects with a senton. Jericho again ascends the ladder. Briscoe sees this and rushes up the other side. The two men trade strikes until Jericho knocks Briscoe off. Briscoe pushes the ladder over, sending Jericho to the floor with him. Jericho and Briscoe exchange strikes again until Jericho’s leg gets caught in the rungs of a ladder.
Briscoe places Jericho on a table. He climbs a ladder and prepares to put Jericho through the table, but Bryan Keith rushes down to stop him. Rocky Romero appears with a kendo stick and whacks Keith with it. Briscoe drops down onto Jericho from the ladder. Briscoe connects with a Jay Driller and ascends the ladder once again. Big Bill runs into the ring and chokeslams Briscoe through a table. Bill hoists Jericho on his shoulders, carries him up the ladder, and retrieves the ROH World Championship for him.
Winner (And New): Chris Jericho
After the match, Tomohiro Ishii appears on the stage alongside Rocky Romero. The pair stare down Big Bill and Chris Jericho in the ring.
Adam Cole
Adam Cole says it’s story time, but before he can tell it, he’s interrupted by Roderick Strong, Matt Taven, and Kevin Bennett. Strong says MJF used Cole to gain fans. Bennett says they started things together, so they will finish them together. Taven says some of his favorite life moments have been working together. Strong tells Cole he’s proud of him for bouncing back from his ankle injury. Strong says he’s happy to finish what they started — taking MJF out — together. Strong makes it clear he wants MJF first. Cole says they will indeed finish MJF off together before calling MJF off to the ring.
MJF appears on the Titantron. He reiterates that Cole won’t get his hands on him anytime soon. MJF says whomever between Strong and Cole reaches three victories can face him at AEW Full Gear. Until then, MJF says he won’t be showing up in person.
Backstage, Jamie Hayter calls BS on everything Penelope Ford has said about her. Hayter says she’s looking for a fight, but Ford is nowhere to be found. Hayter challenges Ford to a match two weeks from now.
House Of Black (Buddy Matthews, Brody King, & Malakai Black) vs. Jaden Monroe, Kevin Koa & Pirata De La Muerte
Black delivers The End to De La Muerte, then swipes Koa off his feet. Buddy Matthews tags in and stomps Koa’s arm from off the top. Monroe is tagged in, but finds himself in a three -on-one attack at the hands of House of Black. King hits Monroe with a senton, then connects with a big chop to Koa. Matthews and Black dropkick Kao while Brody simultaneously charges in with a cannonball. The trio finish off Monroe with an assisted powerbomb and a stomp from Matthews for the win.
Winners: House of Black
After the match, Buddy Matthews challenges Adam Cole to a match next week.
Kamille (w/ Mercedes Mone) vs. Queen Aminata
Kamille slams Aminata to the mat then crushes her in the corner. Kamille connects with a short arm lariat. Aminata attacks Kamille in the corner and takes her down with a Tornado DDT. Aminata goes for a cover, but Kamille kicks out at one. Aminata rolls her up for another near fall. Kamille responds with a backbreaker.
Back from break, Aminata rocks Kamille with a series of elbow strikes. She follows up with a snap neckbreaker and a kick to the side of Kamille’s head. Aminata locks in a Dragon Sleeper, but Kamille escapes. Kamille looks for a powerbomb, which Aminata reverses into a near fall. Kamille slams Aminata to the mat for a near fall of her own. Kamille drives Aminata into the mat to finally gain the win.
Winner: Kamille
Post-match, Kris Statlander approaches Kamille and Mercedes Mone in the ring. Mone steps between Statlander and Kamille, appearing to make peace. She then hits Statlander from behind, albeit to minimal damage. Statlander takes down Mone with an elbow before brawling with Kamille. Mone grabs Statlander’s foot, paving the way for Kamille to drop Statlander to the mat. She and Mone stand over her.
Out in the parking lot, Christian Cage and crew confront the line of talent. Kip Sabian appears in between the cars, resulting in Cage chasing him. Christian Cage follows Kip Sabian out to the ring. An angry Hook then charges toward the ring, eager to attack the man that attacked his father, Taz, weeks ago. Hook immediately wipes out Nick Wayne before lunging at Cage. Sabian delivers a low blow to Hook. Cage tells Sabian he knows why he’s been hovering around him lately, but plans to deal with him later.
Wayne rises to his feet but gets caught in a Redrum from Hook. Cage quickly breaks it up, allowing Wayne to hit a Wayne’s World on Hook. Cage follows up with a Killswitch. He tells Hook that this isn’t what he thinks it is.
Daniel Garcia & Private Party (Marq Quen & Isiah Kassidy) vs. The Elite (Jack Perry, Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson)
The bell rings with Perry and Garcia in the corner. Perry tags in Matt Jackson as Garcia tags in Kassidy. Matt tags in Nick Jackson, but when they try to double team on Kassidy, Quen joins in to even the odds. Garcia tackles Perry to the ground and rains down with right hands. Garcia whips Matt into Perry in the corner. Kassidy and Quen crush them.
Kassidy accidently wipes out Quen, paving the way for Nick and Matt to double superkick him and Garcia. Nick comes crashing down onto Kassidy as Matt holds him between the ropes.
Back from break, Nick accidently kicks Matt on the apron. Perry tags in then eats an enziguri from Kassidy. Kassidy looks to tag in Garica, but Matt pulls him off the apron. Matt pushes Garcia into the barricade. Perry sends him crashing through a table at ringside. In the ring, Matt and Nick hit Ricky Business on Kassidy. Kassidy fights back and takes down both Matt and Nick. Kassidy tags in Quen. Quen fends off all members of The Elite until eating a superkick from Matt and Nick.
Perry hits a Poisonrana on Kassidy. Nick and Matt connect with a stomp to powerbomb combo on Kassidy for a near fall that Quen breaks up. Garcia pulls Perry off the apron then boots him over the barricade. Kassidy tries to fight off Matt and Nick in the ring. Quen pulls Nick off the apron, which allows Kassidy put Matt in an inside cradle for the win.
Winners: Private Party & Daniel Garcia
After the match, Kassidy points out that they’ve pinned The Young Bucks multiple times now. Kassidy challenges The Young Bucks to a AEW Tag Team Championship rematch, which they initially decline. Kassidy raises the stakes by putting Private Party’s existence on the line, meaning if they lose, they will split up as a team. The Young Bucks agree to a rematch under this added stipulation.
Out in the parking lot, Marina Shafir rolls up in a truck, but that turns out to be a ruse. Back in the ring, the Blackpool Combat Club attacks Private Party and Daniel Garcia. Jon Moxley drags Chuck Taylor to the ring. Claudio Castagnoli places a chair around Taylor’s neck, which he then stomps on. Orange Cassidy and the AEW locker room rush down to tend on Taylor as BCC retreat through the crowd.
